Villa Loren is an elegant two-bedroom property surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Slovenia’s Karst region. The villa boasts a private indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym, as well as a seasonal outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace. Situated in the heart of the green Karst countryside, with rolling vineyards and verdant woodlands nearby, visitors can enjoy peaceful walking and cycling trails in the local area or exciting excursions to cultural highlights within easy driving distance.
The open plan living space on Villa Loren’s ground floor is cosy and inviting, with a lounge area featuring a flatscreen TV. The casual dining area provides the perfect place for everyone to gather together and discuss the day’s adventures over a delicious meal and a glass of local wine. Natural wood finishes and high ceilings with rustic exposed beams create a warm, relaxed ambience in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a modern breakfast bar and everything you might need to cook up a feast with the local produce you have discovered.
As well as a stylish bathroom featuring a bathtub, there is another separate lounge area on the ground floor, where you can spend a few hours on the comfortable sofa, reading and relaxing in peace and quiet.
Upstairs, Villa Loren’s spacious master suite features a double bed, a private seating area and a modern en-suite bathroom. A second double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is also located on the first floor. Both bedrooms boast relaxed, understated furnishings and charming vaulted ceilings. Underfloor heating throughout the villa provides an added touch of luxury.
The villa’s basement has been thoughtfully designed to provide guests with a soothing space in which to relax and exercise. Begin each day with an invigorating swim in the heated indoor pool, featuring a wave function and a glass-panelled ceiling overhead which provides plenty of natural light. After a day of hiking in the hills or a visit to the fairytale city of Ljubljana, unwind in Villa Loren’s Finnish sauna or spend some time relaxing in the large jacuzzi. A compact gym is also available, with modern equipment and a flatscreen TV.
Outside, a seasonal swimming pool provides a sun-soaked spot to enjoy during the warmer months. Secluded by lush green trees, guests can relax on the terrace or under the shade of the pretty poolside gazebo. The outdoor space also features a barbecue grill and a games area.

While you may not feel inclined to leave the comforts of your new home away from home, where it would be very easy to spend your days lounging by the pool or exploring local walking trails, the joys of the Karst lie waiting to be discovered.
If you wish to make the most of the villa’s unique location by doing something a little different, a visit to the astonishing Postojna Cave provides a fascinating change of scenery! Here, you can board the train and take in the sights of this amazing subterranean wonder whilst travelling along the oldest cave railway in the world. Located nearby, Predjama Castle is an impressive Rennaissance structure built into the mouth of a cave on a dramatic cliffside. The limestone system of the Škocjan Caves is another awe-inspiring attraction that includes one of the world’s largest known underground river canyons, making it a well-deserved UNESCO World Heritage site.
For many visitors to this diverse region, the sparkling waters of the nearby Adriatic Sea beckon. Within half an hour, you can drive through the peaceful countryside, cross the border and soak up the sun and relaxed ambience of the Italian coastline. Make your way to Sistiana Bay, where you can spend the day swimming on the beach of Castelreggio, overlooked by the Duino Cliffs. Slightly further afield, Slovenia’s fairytale capital city can be reached within an hour by car. Here, you can wander through lively street markets before visiting the imposing Ljubljana Castle. The stunning beauty of glacial Lake Bled is only an hour and a half’s drive away from the villa, so pack a picnic of delicious local produce and make your way to the lake for a day trip to remember.
