High above the rooftops of Venice, the charming and genuine Colombina apartment welcomes you into the heart of true Venetian life.
The unobstructed view over the rooftops of Venice from every room is remarkable. The private roof terrace on the fourth floor allows, in good weather, to see as far as the Dolomites.
The renovation of the Colombina apartment is inspired by the comedies of Carlo Goldoni’s “Commedia dell’Arte” and the secret love story of Colombina and Arlecchino: colourful and genuine, the apartment provides a playful approach to the history and future of Venice. Right in the heart of Venetian life a new and optimistic narrative of Venice emerges full of details and stories. From every window you can spot a different venetian landmark, be it St. Marks Tower, the Chiesa dei Santi Apostoli, Santi Giovanni e Paolo or as far as the tower of Celestia.
The apartment is located on the third floor of a typical Cannaregio District residential building, few steps from the Rialto Bridge, and the most famous landmarks yet tucked away from the crowd, therefore very quiet. From here you can enjoy what makes Venetian life unforgettable. Take the Traghetto early morning to the Fish market, have coffee and brioche with the Gondolieri on Strada Nuova, or dine in truly contemporary Venetian atmosphere in some of the best restaurants just footsteps away. As the Cannaregio district still hosts the most venetian residents, from here everything you need for your daily pleasures is literally around the corner.
During the recent renovation project Italian design furniture from the 60s to the 80s were collected and curated with great sensitivity. One of the highlights is the "Bocca della Verita" bed by Arte Povera sculptor Mario Ceroli from 1974, as well as a large 4 seater sofa by Rolf Heide for ICF (1972), IVA chairs by Roberto Pamio & Renato Toso for Stilwood (ca. 1970), You & Me lounge chairs by Carlo Berutti for Danber Italia (ca. 1980) and many more.
The Colombina apartment is laid out on about 115 square meters and is composed of a bright and large living area with comfortable sitting room, dining room and kitchen. The highlight is the custom-made kitchen in a special turquoise-green inspired by venetian boats and the lagoon. The brand-new appliances are hidden inside a large cupboard with pocket door system, keeping the open space stylish and well organized at the same time.
The sleeping area is composed of master bedroom, double bedroom, a third bedroom on two levels, and a spacious bathroom with shower. The bed in the attic of the third bedroom can be reached through a narrow wooden ladder: the kids will love this room, but its use is under the guest’s responsibility. In total the apartment can host up to 6 people, but we suggest it to 4 considering that there is only one bathroom.
The spacious private terrace on the roof top can be accessed through the communal stairway and it is furnished with table and chairs: we suggest enjoying it at sunset with a glass of good wine or for a candlelight dinner.
The apartment is equipped with A/C in every room, autonomous heating system, Wi-Fi, smart TV, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, large fridge & freezer, induction stoves, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, and all other basic amenities.
The caring Owners, who curated the renovation project in every detail, love to spend their holidays at the Colombina and decided to offer their unique home through the Property Manager network to discerning travellers who can value its uniqueness and care for it.

About the area
Venice, Italy, is a city that enchants its visitors with its distinctive blend of history, artistry, and romance. The city is uniquely constructed on over 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. Instead of roads and cars, Venice is characterized by its waterways and gondolas, offering a truly unique urban experience.
St. Mark's Square stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks. It is home to St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace. The basilica boasts stunning Byzantine mosaics while the palace showcases Gothic architecture and grand rooms adorned with art - both are symbols of Venice's rich historical heritage.
The Grand Canal is another must-visit attraction in Venice. A gondola ride along this major waterway provides breathtaking views of beautiful palaces and historic buildings lining its banks. For those passionate about art, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection offers an impressive collection of modern art from renowned artists like Picasso and Pollock.
Venice takes pride in its glassmaking industry located on the island of Murano where visitors can witness artisans crafting intricate glass pieces using age-old techniques.
The city also hosts several globally recognized events such as the Venice Biennale art exhibition and the Venice Film Festival which draw artists and celebrities worldwide.
For gastronomes, Venetian cuisine offers fresh seafood from the lagoon and traditional dishes like risotto nero (black risotto) made with cuttlefish ink.
In summary, Venice presents an irresistible mix of history, culture, artistic talent, gastronomy, and romance that makes it an ideal destination for any traveler.
