includes four buildings, divided into two large apartments, two smaller
annexes, and a communal living area. With space for up to 19 guests, it
is an excellent choice for extended families or groups of friends
wishing to spend time together in Tuscany.
The setting is peaceful and surrounded by rolling countryside, offering
a true sense of escape. Just a five minute drive away lies the medieval
village of Poppi, officially recognised as one of Italy’s most
beautiful villages, with its magnificent castle, charming shops and
inviting restaurants. The nearby town of Bibbiena, around seven
kilometres away, provides all everyday amenities, including several
supermarkets. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the
Parco Nazionale Foreste Casentinesi, an ideal destination for scenic
walks and outdoor exploration. Arezzo is only 38 kilometres away, and
Florence is also easily accessible, both offering excellent
opportunities for culturally rich and memorable day trips.
The outdoor areas of Sant’Angelo Relais are extensive and beautifully
kept. Lawns surround the 16-metre pool, providing plenty of space to
relax. A charming courtyard terrace shaded by a wisteria-covered
pergola is the perfect spot for al fresco dining. Guests are welcome to
select fresh produce from the farm’s vegetable garden. There is also a
lake for fishing (own equipment necessary) and tennis courts just 100
metres away (own equipment necessary). A table tennis area is also
available.
Inside, traditional Tuscan features such as terracotta floors, beamed
ceilings, and large fireplaces create a warm and authentic atmosphere.
All rooms are tastefully decorated in soft pastel tones and furnished
for comfort, with lovingly chosen details adding to a homely feel. The
third annexe houses the communal kitchen and dining area, perfect for

About the area
Arezzo, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Tuscany, Italy, is a destination that offers a rich tapestry of history, art, and culture. This charming city, less frequented by the tourist crowds that flock to its more famous neighbors, provides an authentic Italian experience steeped in tradition and beauty.
The city's medieval center is a treasure trove of historical architecture, with the Piazza Grande at its heart. This sloping square is surrounded by ancient buildings and is the site of the Giostra del Saracino, a traditional jousting tournament held twice a year that harks back to the Middle Ages. Visitors can feel the pulse of history as they wander through the cobblestone streets and explore landmarks such as the Romanesque-style Arezzo Cathedral and the imposing Medici Fortress.
Art enthusiasts will be drawn to the Basilica of San Francesco, which houses the stunning fresco cycle "The Legend of the True Cross" by Renaissance master Piero della Francesca. This masterpiece of early Renaissance art is considered one of the most significant fresco sequences in the world and is a must-see for any visitor to Arezzo.
Arezzo also boasts a vibrant antiques market, the Fiera Antiquaria, which takes place on the first weekend of every month. It's one of the largest of its kind in Italy, attracting collectors and enthusiasts from across the country. The streets and squares of the old town are filled with stalls selling everything from furniture to vintage jewelry, making it a paradise for treasure hunters.
The city's culinary offerings are equally enticing, with traditional Tuscan cuisine taking center stage. Local specialties such as Chianina beef, pecorino cheese, and the renowned Tuscan wines can be savored in the many restaurants and enotecas that dot the city.
For those looking to explore beyond the city limits, Arezzo's location in the Tuscan countryside makes it an ideal base for visiting the region's vineyards, picturesque hill towns, and the stunning landscapes that have inspired artists for centuries.
In essence, Arezzo is a destination that offers a blend of historical wonders, artistic splendor, and culinary delights, all set within the breathtaking scenery of Tuscany. It's a place where travelers can step back in time, indulge their senses, and experience the very essence of Italy.
