Kookaburra Hill, Kangaroo Valley - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
With stunning views of the surrounding valley and mountains and prize-winning gardens, Kookaburra Hill will give you the illusion of being a million miles away from it all when in actual fact you are within walking distance to Kangaroo Valley village. A magnificent salt water pool and large grass terrace which are perfect for those hot summer days. With more than 2 acres of bushland on the hill above Kookaburra Hill local wildlife, such as wallaroos, can often be seen. Help yourself to delicious produce from the garden and cook up a meal using the wonderful outdoor kitchen with Ilve stove, a large sink, refrigerator and dishwasher.

Where will I be?
Kookaburra Hill is located 500 metres from the shops of Kangaroo Valley, or the local pub - so it has a perfect location. Nonetheless, the house is set back 200 metres from Moss Vale Road, giving you total seclusion and peace and quiet, despite its central location.

Kookaburra Hill has wall to wall windows to make the most of the dramatic view, while the open plan living area and cathedral ceilings allow plenty of light and give the feeling of space. Luxury linen is supplied and the newly renovated kitchen is well equipped, ensuring you have everything you need for your stay.
How is the property laid out?
Kookaburra Hill has 3 bedrooms, all with queen size beds and the bathroom has a combined deep cast iron bath/shower, and toilet. The kitchen, living and dining area is open plan, with high ceilings and fantastic views. There is a second living area with a TV, as well as an additional toilet.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.
Please note that neither Property Manager nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
The prize-winning gardens at Kookaburra Hill have been featured on Australia’s Open Garden program. A salt-water in-ground solar heated pool behind the house is perfect for cooling down on those hot summer days. Guests are welcome to help themselves to delicious produce from the garden and cook up a meal using the wonderful outdoor kitchen with Ilve stove, a large sink, refrigerator and dishwasher.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is fully ducted air conditioning and heating for year round comfort. There is also a fireplace in the living area and ceiling fans.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Kookaburra Hill supplies all bed linen, sheets and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Kookaburra Hill has open air parking for 2 cars.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Pets are welcome at Kookaburra Hill subject to the following rules;
- Your dog is mature and well behaved
- Your dog is up to date with flea, tick and worm treatments
- Clean up after your pet
- Please do not allow dogs on the furniture
- There is an outdoor enclosed area to contain your pet when you go out, and the front of the property is fenced when the driveway gate is shut
Wildlife
Please note that due to the nature and location of this property, wildlife may be about including possums, kangaroos, ants, spiders, bees, wasps and even snakes. We do whatever we can to keep the property safe, however we cannot guarantee that you will not see any wildlife at the property. You must book the property knowing that the possibility of encountering wildlife exists, and you must take care during your visit if walking around the property - please.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
