🐻 5 Bears Cabin, a family friendly log cabin (3 BR/3 BA), a hidden gem tucked away in a woodland setting in Banner Elk. This beautiful cabin is located just two minutes from the center of the charming town of Valle Crucis, and a very short drive over to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk!
This cabin is made for memory-making – whether you’re roasting marshmallows by the fire, sharing laughs in the bubbling hot tub, or enjoying a cozy movie night inside. With space to spread out and come together, it’s the perfect sport for reconnecting with family and friends. Every corner invites relaxation, fun, and moments you’ll want to relive again and again.

Perched at 3000 feet elevation, enjoy peaceful surroundings, wildlife, seasonal mountain views while listening to the river. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals.
• There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryers, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
• Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations
• Towels and linens will be provided.
• Check in is after 4PM
• Check out is by 10AM
• No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
• Returning guests to this home may receive a 5% discount off the rent (not to be stacked with other discounts).
• This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home.
• Firewood for the outdoor fire pit and indoor wood-burning fireplace may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
• Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
• This home is located off of a steep gravel road and visitors should come prepared with AWD or 4WD vehicles with high ground clearance. During winter months where inclement weather is likely, it is imperative that guests come prepared with a proper vehicle suited for driving on mountain terrain. Chains may also be necessary during times of snowfall. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
• Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
• Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
• No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
• Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
• Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
• Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
• All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
