Calafralina is a spacious Chianti holiday home, ideal for several
couples or a group of friends travelling together while still wanting
privacy. The accommodation is spread across three single-storey stone
buildings, set within a large garden with mature trees, fruit trees and
an olive grove. From here, guests can enjoy peaceful views of the
rolling Chianti hills, in a quiet countryside setting between Radda and
Castellina in Chianti.
The location offers easy access to the region’s renowned wineries,
castles and charming villages. Cultural cities such as Siena, Florence,
Arezzo and San Gimignano are perfect for day trips. Both Radda and
Castellina are just a ten-minute drive away and offer good restaurants,
shops and supermarkets. In Castellina, don’t miss the Gelateria di
Castellina, one of the best ice cream shops in the area.
Calafralina offers plenty of outdoor space in a peaceful setting.
Guests will find a covered terrace with a dining table, various seating
areas, a ping-pong table and a bocce court. The large pool overlooks
the beautiful Tuscan landscape. As all bedrooms and the main living and
dining room have direct access from the garden, this property is best
suited for stays during the warmer months.
Inside, the house features traditional Tuscan elements such as
terracotta floors and wooden beam ceilings. The spacious living and
dining area is bright and airy, with large windows on three sides.
Two bedrooms are air-conditioned, while the remaining three are cooled
by ventilation ducts. The owner’s house is located behind the rental
villas but is rarely used. The gardener comes daily to care for the
grounds and chickens, and is happy to offer guests fresh eggs and
vegetables. A friendly medium-sized dog also lives on the property, but
can be kept away from guests on request.
