Take some time to relax and reconnect with nature at this spacious two-story home located on over an acre! This home away from home was built in 1973 and has remained in the same family over the years. You will be less than a mile from the entrance gate of the Youghiogheny Mountain Resort. Enjoy the nature surrounding you within the Youghiogheny Mountain Resort, which offers 50+ miles of hiking trails and fishing areas. There are five state parks within 20 minutes drive. Wisp Ski Resort and Deep Creek Lake are located 12 miles away. Canaan Valley Ski Resort is located 45 miles away. Swallow Falls State Park is located adjacent to the property and is one of Maryland’s most visited state parks, with four gorgeous waterfalls. Both the Rock Maze and the Cranesville Swamp Nature Preserve with boardwalk are a couple of miles away.
This peaceful retreat boasts a beautifully appointed main living area on the second floor with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for exceptional views, and carpeted floors. Curl up by the warmth of the gorgeous wood-burning fireplace. When mealtime comes, prepare delicious homemade meals in the well-appointed kitchen with all stainless steel appliances and a cute coffee/tea corner with a Keurig coffee maker. Sliding glass doors lead you to the wraparound deck, which overlooks the forest and offers a great dining spot.From there, you can also enjoy a soak in the private hot tub. Admire large boulders perfectly placed apart to create hidden spaces for the eight-person firepit. Some boulders are over nine feet tall, with eight spotlights lighting up the rock formations at night. The ground floor features an entertaining rec room with a pool table, a dartboard, board games, a mini air hockey table, and a smart TV to stream your favorite shows and movies. Sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms on each floor. Additional perks include fiber optic internet, a cornhole board, a washer/dryer, a gas grill, and a dog bowl.
