Woodlands Park has Nature & Biking Trails - keep your eyes out for a variety of Wildlife to enjoy watching on these trails; Waterfront Park (within Walking Distance) has a Covered Picnic area with Grills, Kayak Launch, Bocce Ball, Volleyball, Playground, Fitness Trails & Fishing Pier over the ICW with a Gazebo; Southport & Oak Island offer Boat, Kayak & Bike Rentals. The St. James Private Oceanfront Beach Club on Oak Island is just 12 minutes away. There is On Street Paid Parking, a Dedicated Beach Access with Foot Showers, Community Saltwater Pool (Seasonal), Covered Picnic Area at the Pavilion, as well as Restrooms, Showers & Changing Facilities.
Access to the 4 Golf courses in St James are not included with the rental as these are all private. However there are several excellent public golf courses within a short drive including the Oak island Golf Club and Carolina National.
