Payment & Cancellation - 30 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 30 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 30 days before arrival: 100% refund.

- RENTER'S CODE OF CONDUCT:
- Please note that this Code is required by the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
- Premise of This Code:
- The premise of this Code is that the short-term accommodation premises are located in the vicinity
- of other properties and that the residents/occupants of these properties have the right to enjoy their
- properties without being imposed upon by nuisance from others.
- Objectives of This Code:
- The objective of this code is to establish acceptable standards of behavior for renters and their
- guests, and to minimize any adverse social or environmental impacts on their neighbours and
- neighbourhood. The Rener acknowledges for themselves and on the behalf of others that they will
- be occupying a short-term rental accommodation.
- Guiding Principles:
- The guiding principles for short term accommodation renters are:
- • the premise you are occupying is a home
- • treat the premise as your own
- • respect your neighbours
- • leave it as you find it
- Maximum Number of Renters and Guests:
- The maximum number of occupants within a dwelling that is being operated as a short-term
- accommodation shall not exceed a total number based upon the number posted by the Owner.
- Noise and Residential Amenity:
- No person shall make noise so as to cause a disturbance or conduct themselves in an antisocial
- behavior.
- Examples of noise that is deemed to be a disturbance include:
- • loud music
- • outdoor speakers
- • outdoor or backyard gatherings involving excessive noise
- • fireworks
- • late or early hour disturbances
- • exceeding occupancy limits
- • yelling, shouting, chanting and loud conversations
- Please be advised that the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula Noise By-law, By-law No. 2018-
- 37, is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The By-law states that: "NO PERSON SHALL RING ANY
- BELL, BLOW OR SOUND ANY HORN, SHOUT OR MAKE UNUSUAL NOISE(S) LIKELY TO DISTURB THE
- INHABITANTS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OR ALLOW OR PERMIT SUCH NOISE TO BE MADE".
- Renters are not allowed to disturb neighbours or interfere with their enjoyment of their properties, or
- the public realm, at any time of the day or night. Failure to comply with the conditions of the
- Municipality's Noise By-law may result in the notification of the Ontario Provincial Police who may,
- upon attendance, issue a Notice of Offence, which carries with it a fine, upon convictions, for a first
- offence.
- Please enjoy your stay, but have consideration for others.
- Functions and Parties:
- Short term accommodation renters are not to host functions or parties as occupancy limits apply to
- the house and property in accordance with the Licence.
- Access and Parking:
- Property includes parking on a per bedroom basis. Permitted parking should be the only area used
- for parking.
- Recycling and Garbage:
- Please dispose all garbage and recycling to designated garbage areas. Ensure that garbage and
- recycling is sealed shut and not overflowing.
- Additional Rules:
- The following rules and regulations apply to all rentals:
- • guests must obey noise laws
- • no campfires on windy days, when the fire risk is high or when there is a fire ban. Fully extinguish fire
- when not attended (ex: pour water on it until it is completely extinguished)
- • fireworks are not permitted at any time
- • please do not wear shoes in the house
- • please clean up after your pets both on the property and off (ex: when you go for a walk)
- • leave the house as you found it
- • if there is any damage, please report it so it may be repaired
- • be mindful of our neighbours
- • do not let your pets run wild or go on the neighbours property
- • be respectful of nature
- • follow all local garbage disposal and recycling rules
- • absolutely no smoking in the house. if the Owner allows outdoor smoking on the property, pick up all of
- your cigarette butts and dispose of them after extinguishing them
- • the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula has implemented a 4% Municipal Accommodation Tax
- applicable to all short-term accommodation bookings on the Peninsula. The 4% applies to the full cost
- of the booking
- • no parties allowed
- • guests agree to comply with all local bylaws and regulations and will pay any fines, penalties, or fees
- imposed by the municipality as a result of an alleged contravention
- • guests are responsible for any damage caused by pets (scratches in doors or walls or any other
- damage will need to be repaired at guest's expense)
- • guests agree that if they do not comply with these rules, or the Pet Rules below, their stay may
- immediately be terminated and no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the stay
- • guests understand, agree, and acknowledge that there may be exterior camera(s) on the premises,
- there are no interior cameras
- • guests understand cameras may be checked shortly after check-in to confirm the number of guests
- match the booking and to ensure that the municipally enforced guest capacity is followed
- • guests understand that noise monitoring hardware may be in use
- • these rules may be updated at any time, at the Owner's sole discretion
- Pet Rules:
- Guests agree to comply with the Owner's rules regarding if pets are allowed, and if so, the number of
- pets allowed and the kind of pets allowed (ex: dogs vs. cats)
- Do not allow your pet onto the neighbour's property.
- The registered guest assumes 100% responsibility for the repair or replacement cost (including
- labour) of any damage caused by a pet.
