A rare find in the Texas Hill Country, Shady Grove is a 4 bed, 2 bath farmhouse that sleeps up to 8 guests, hosts a small full sized hot tub under the stars and is within minutes to Wimberley’s well known town square. Plus, enjoy a variety of entertaining games including cornhole, darts, connect four, and ring toss for added fun and relaxation during your stay. Perfectly located on a quiet rural street, just minutes to Wimberley’s nearby attractions but secluded from the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Enjoy hiking or cool off at Jacob’s Well and Blue Hole Regional Park, experience a local winery, or browse through the many boutique shops on Wimberley Square. Shady Grove is where guests will find a “Little Piece of Heaven” in the Hill Country.
The charming Shady Grove features an expansive backyard with towering oak trees and lush natural grasses. A covered area with seating, a picnic table and a deluxe gas grill for cookouts under the Texas stars. Explore the original farm structures including a barn and chicken coop (no longer in service). The interior was expertly renovated and carefully designed to apply modern upgrades while preserving the home’s original farmhouse style. Bright, open spaces with simple, tasteful furnishings are found throughout the home. Dine at home with the fully equipped kitchen and table for 8.
Listen to some vinyl on the record player or stream your favorite subscription channels on the smart tv’s (please note that cable is not provided). The fast, reliable WiFi allows you to stay connected or work remotely during your trip.
Sleep restfully in one of the four bedrooms. Find two king beds, one in the master and another in bedroom two, offering plenty of natural light, modern lines, and bright white linens; guests are sure to have a restful night’s sleep.The 3rd bedroom hosts a queen bed and the 4th room is a private space with a twin trundle bed. It is meant for families traveling with children or an extra adult who would like their own space. Guests can freshen up in one of the two bathrooms. The master bath offers stunning tile work, a double vanity, bathtub and stand alone shower. The second bath has a charming feel with a stand alone shower and single vanity.
Shady Grove is conveniently located only minutes from Wimberley Square, take the day to browse the darling shops, delicious restaurants, local wineries, and breweries. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Jacobs Well and Blue Hole Regional Park for swimming, kayaking, and hiking trails. Looking for an outing for the day? Take a drive to Canyon Lake and rent a boat or jet skis for a fun afternoon on the water. Check out the music calendar at Whitewater Amphitheater and rock out at a concert! Explore New Braunfels and Gruene and enjoy fabulous restaurants and live music. A day of tubing, kayaking, and rafting on the Guadalupe River is always fun. Families and children will especially love Schlitterbahn Water Park and Landa Park.
