The houses are situated in a residential area with a semi-rural feel on the edge of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Just stroll down the tree-lined road, passing neighbouring houses, and you will see rural landscapes a few steps away. The centre of Saint-Rémy (2km) is around a 5-minute drive away – you could also walk there within half an hour following pavements most of the way (depending on your chosen route).
Known for its artistic heritage, experience the bustling ambience of Saint-Rémy as you wander along its cobbled lanes coming across bistros, pavement cafes and art galleries. Follow the Van Gogh trail towards Monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole to the south of the town and don’t miss the vibrant Wednesday morning market where stall owners showcase a wealth of delicious local products such as olive oil, cheese, charcuterie, honey, lavender, wine and a wealth of seasonal fruit and vegetables alongside artisan crafts and more. Art markets take place on the occasional Sunday in the summer alongside the Tuesday evening Creator’s market in late July/August.

Maussane-les-Alpilles (10km) is a lovely spot for lunch on the village square by the fountain and church – try the local olive oil produced from the many groves surrounding Maussane, Les Baux and Mouriès.
There are golf courses across this part of Provence including Domaine de Manville (12km) near Les Baux-de-Provence whilst keen walkers, hikers, cycling enthusiasts and horse riders can appreciate the scenery of Les Alpilles with endless olive groves, forests, limestone peaks and valleys. Sample good wines at nearby wineries or venture a little further afield to the vineyards of the Rhône valley or Luberon.
Elsewhere in Provence and beyond, spend time in Avignon (26km) visiting its UNESCO World Heritage sites, canoe/kayak beneath the magnificent Pont du Gard (42km), admire the art exhibitions of Arles (28km), also the gateway to the Camargue, or head east to the iconic villages and stunning landscapes of the Luberon – Gordes, Ménerbes and Bonnieux are all less than an hour by car.
