With its traditional layout, step straight through to Villa Soleil et Pierre’s kitchen as you enter this rustic abode, then walk into the stylish lounge with its cool tiled floors, comfy sofas and chic furnishings juxtaposing exposed stone walls and a cosy wood burner. There is a double and a twin bedroom on the ground floor, each with their own bathroom, whilst two further bedrooms and a family shower room can be found upstairs. The fifth bedroom, set by itself via a separate staircase outside, features a mezzanine level which has space for an extra two guests (on request, subject to a supplement).
Outside, spend time with loved ones as you enjoy meals together on the terrace surrounded by the scents and colours of Provence. Relax on a sun lounger before cooling off in the 15m long swimming pool, then head to the olive and fruit trees where there is space to kick a ball around. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence’s warren of narrow lanes is merely 1.5km away where you will find charming bistros, café terraces, art galleries and the famous Wednesday morning market. Follow the famous footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh before venturing slightly further afield to explore the undulating landscapes of Les Alpilles, a paradise for walkers, cyclists and other outdoor adventurists.
Visit picture-perfect villages such as Eygalières and Les Baux-de-Provence, sample some of France’s finest olive oil near Maussane-les-Alpilles, dine out in Michelin starred restaurants serving delicious Provençal fare and experience the bustling markets of nearby villages, towns and cities in Provence.
Nimes, Arles and L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue can be reached for wonderful days out whilst wine-lovers can appreciate the vineyards of the nearby Luberon, alongside its captivating scenery and iconic perched villages. That said, you may prefer to simply venture north to Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Rhône valley, not forgetting the atmospheric wine-bars and delightful markets in the small historic city of Avignon, only 22km from your holiday home.

Arrive by train into Avignon TGV (with regular departures from Paris Gare de Lyon taking 2 hours 40 minutes) or by aeroplane into Nîmes or Marseille Airports.
It’s a joy to explore the bustling town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, known for its associations with Vincent Van Gogh. Follow the famous Dutch artist’s art trail across the town, experience the wonderful Wednesday morning market and simply potter around the town’s art galleries and shops before relaxing on café terraces or in delightful restaurants. In the summer months there’s a weekly Creators Market on a Tuesday evening where local artists and creators sell their goods in atmospheric surroundings.
There are so many other gorgeous places to visit across Les Alpilles Regional Natural Park such as the pretty village of Eygalières, gastronomic Maussane-les-Alpilles and Paradou (around 12-13km) and hilltop Les Baux-de-Provence (12km), classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ and home to an impressive château. Furthermore, enjoy tranquil walks, cycle rides or horse-riding passing landscapes of olive groves, woodland, vineyards and farmland. Try delicious wines, honey, olive oil, cheese and so much more.
Beyond Les Alpilles, visit the historic city of Avignon (22km), home to the Palais des Papes and Le Pont d’Avignon, two UNESCO World Heritage sites, and spend time in the wonderful city of Nîmes (46km) with its rich Roman heritage.
