Saddle Ridge, Kangaroo Valley - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Peak Season
Saddle Ridge is a luxurious, spacious and meticulously equipped home for up to 10 guests - featuring 42 acres of private land, a swimming pool with escarpment views, a resort style gazebo, large verandahs and landscaped native gardens. Guests are accommodated across 5 large bedrooms (all upstairs), 4 bathrooms and 2 powder rooms. Saddle Ridge is a short drive to the Kangaroo Valley town centre and the home oozes comfort, luxury, style and relaxation!
The property was previously the ’Lazy Acres’ horse riding school, redeveloped into what it is today. It was renamed ’Saddle Ridge’ as homage to its history and the mountain ranges which form a saddle to the west.

- All bedrooms are on the upstairs level, leaving downstairs free for entertainment and relaxation, with dual living areas.
- There is an unfenced dam within 120 metres of the house. Please supervise children closely at all times because of this, thanks!
Where will I be?
Saddle Ridge is approximately 5 minutes drive from Kangaroo Valley village, a few minutes drive to Kangaroo Valley Golf Course and on the way to scenic Tallowa Dam. Saddle Ridge also provides its own pedal bicycles for exploring the property and surrounds.

How is the property laid out?
Saddle Ridge is on two levels and accessed via a level, gravel driveway with a turning circle at the house. Enter into a wide foyer with a spacious sitting room and through to the bright family room with log fire and large-screen TV, dining area and adjoining kitchen with breakfast bar (and through to the commercial kitchen). Sliding glass doors open to the outdoors. Also on the lower level is a guest powder room and laundry.
Upstairs 5 extremely spacious king and queen size bedrooms. The main bedroom features a king bed, balcony, sitting area, enormous ensuite and walk in robe, 4 other king and queen size bedrooms (one with balcony), 2 with ensuite and 2 sharing one ensuite.
Timber decks surround the property to take advantage of the northerly sunshine and the pool, with adjacent outdoor powder room, pool lounges and compliant fencing is close to the house, so the family is never far away.
Although there is loads of room outdoors for children to run and explore, please note that there is an unfenced dam 120 metres from the home.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available, and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note that neither Property Manager nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a backup plan.
What about outdoors?
Saddle Ridge has extensive indoor outdoor entertaining options, as well as 42 acres of private land to explore, most of which is kept mown. The house has large verandahs on two sides, an outdoor gas BBQ, a large swimming pool, a resort style gazebo and various outdoor seating areas - all connected to the house and its main living / dining / kitchen area. It is a perfect entertainer therefore! SaddleRidge also supplies complimentary retro, pedal bicycles to guests.
Please note that there is an unfenced dam 120 metres from the home, and please be aware of the possibility of wildlife on the property.
Stay warm or keeping cool?
Saddle Ridge has integrated, reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout the property, a wood burning fireplace in the family room, and ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Firewood is supplied and additional supplies are available at the Kangaroo Valley service station.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Saddle Ridge supplies all linen and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Saddle Ridge has ample parking on the driveway for 4 - 6 vehicles. The double lock up garage is for owner use only.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Saddle Ridge is not pet friendly. Please contact us for a list of pet friendly properties.
Wildlife
Please note that due to the nature and location of this property, wildlife may be about including possums, kangaroos, ants, spiders, bees, wasps and even snakes. We do whatever we can to keep the property safe, however we cannot guarantee that you will not see any wildlife at the property. You must book the property knowing that the possibility of encountering wildlife exists, and you must take care during your visit if walking around the property - please.
What are the minimum stay rules?
Peak Season: between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
Easter: 4 nights
Long Weekends: 3 nights
All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during Peak Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
