Hale Hina is the realization of this dream, and transforming this house into our home has been our passion. That’s why when you stay at Hale Hina, it doesn’t feel like a rental property - it feels like home. Magic happens in Ha’ena, rain or shine. Sunrise, or sunset. We simply love this place. And we love our home. We are thrilled to share it with those who can appreciate the simplicity and majesty of Ha’ena and the warm, easy, comfortable accommodations that we’ve created at Hale Hina. Whether enjoying the ocean breezes from the deck, relaxing on the patio below the home, or sitting in the sand steps from the front door, we hope you discover the same joy and tranquility in Ha’ena and in our home.

About the area
Hanalei, nestled on the north shore of Kauai, Hawaii, is a picturesque town that offers a serene escape into nature's embrace. It is a place where lush green mountains meet the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean, creating a landscape that is as enchanting as it is tranquil.
The town's crown jewel is Hanalei Bay, a crescent-shaped beach that is often cited as one of the most beautiful in Hawaii. The bay's long stretch of soft sand and gentle waves make it an ideal spot for swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Surfers flock here for the consistent breaks, while beachgoers revel in the laid-back atmosphere and stunning sunsets.
Beyond the beach, Hanalei is surrounded by verdant taro fields, a staple of traditional Hawaiian agriculture. The Hanalei Valley Lookout offers panoramic views of these fields, set against the backdrop of the majestic Namolokama mountain. This vista is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty that define Kauai.
For hikers, the nearby trails provide access to some of Kauai's most breathtaking scenery. The Kalalau Trail, starting at Ke'e Beach, takes adventurers along the rugged Na Pali Coast, offering dramatic ocean views and the chance to explore secluded beaches and cascading waterfalls.
The town itself exudes a charming, small-town vibe, with its historic Waioli Huiia Church and a collection of boutiques, art galleries, and eateries. Visitors can indulge in local flavors at the Hanalei Farmers Market or enjoy a meal at a beachfront restaurant, savoring fresh seafood and island specialties.
Cultural experiences abound, from learning about the history of the area at the Hanalei Community Center to taking part in a traditional luau. The spirit of aloha is alive and well in Hanalei, where the community welcomes visitors with warmth and genuine hospitality.
For those seeking a tranquil retreat, Hanalei offers a variety of accommodations, from cozy bed and breakfasts to luxurious beachfront rentals. Each provides a peaceful haven from which to experience the natural splendor and relaxed pace of life in this Hawaiian paradise.
