It’s a great stop for travellers coming from NSW or workers needing easy, reliable accommodation. Nearby spots like Kilmore Piazza House, Rose Garden Cafe, and Murchison Gap Lookout are also popular with our guests. A cozy 157-square-foot tiny home with a lofted queen-sized bed accessed by ladder, easy access to water, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes. IMPORTANT NOTE: This farm stay is an off-grid unit that runs on solar energy. Overall, minimal consumption is advised to prevent power outages. As an added note, the fence line (including the gate) to your left is the boundary of our property. The other side belongs to our neighbour, please do not cross over. Guests will have access to tiny home and surrounding areas, excluding the host’s private residence and farm sheds. The following pre-order options and activities are available: - Fishing rods and nets are also available for rent - Fresh eggs come at an extra cost of $5 for (6) six eggs - Skeet shoots are also available for an additional fee - Firewood comes at an extra cost of $20 for (10) ten pieces - Pick-ups and drop-offs in Tallarook can be arranged with host 24 hours in advance - Feeding the farm animals and fishing in the property’s rivers may be available, but due to the unpredictable nature of farm life and seasonal conditions, guests must inquire in advance if these activities are important to their stay. The property is located 100km from Melbourne’s CBD, which is only one hour’s drive by car via the Hume Highway. Tallarook is on the Seymour line which leaves the regional area of Southern Cross Railway Station almost hourly. The Tallarook State Forest is approximately one hours drive North from Melbourne CBD. - Solar-powered—we’ll send all the details before your stay - No smoking allowed on the property - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Outdoor firepit is available, except total fire bans - Please do not cross over the other side of the fence - Please be advised that we have free-roaming dogs on site - PA system is available for guests to rent out for an additional fee - Expect some animal and tractor noise as we are a working farm - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Important note: - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property - The roads traveling to and from the property are suitable for 4WD vehicles due to rocky roads - Keep in mind that there may be other guests on-site you may see and pass by them when roaming - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
