Payment & Cancellation - 60 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
- Guests who book a home or villa that is located in the state of California may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 24-hours of reservation request, and (2) reservation request was made 3 days before arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.
House rules
- SuitableForChildren,1. Booking and Occupancy:
- Bookings must be made by individuals in the staying group; no third-party reservations are permitted unless disclosed and agreed upon in writing.
- Must be 25 years of age to rent. No unaccompanied minors under the age of 25.
- The maximum occupancy is as confirmed in the reservation; additional overnight guests are not permitted unless approved in writing.
- Daytime visitors are allowed between 8:00 A.M. and 9:45 P.M., up to a maximum of three. Additional daytime visitors must be approved in writing.
- 2. Check-in and Check-out:
- This is a self-check-in property. Check-in is from 4:00 P.M. Check-out is strictly by 10:00 A.M. unless a later check-out is agreed to by the host well in advance in writing. If guests exceed the check-out time by more than 30 minutes without prior written agreement from the host, a late check-out fee equivalent to half a night's rent will be applied. If possession exceeds 2 hours past the check-out time without the host's written approval, an additional day's charge at the base rate without discounts will be levied. This penalty is for holdover and does not grant the guest any additional stay rights. In the event of a holdover beyond the agreed departure date, the guest shall be liable to pay an amount equal to two times the daily base rate for each day of holdover.
- If you have any complaints about the property, amenities, cleanliness, etc., please let us know as soon as possible so we can address and fix the issue.
- 3. House Rules:
- The property is for residential purposes only.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the property.
- No illegal substances are permitted on the premises.
- Parties or events are not permitted unless approved in writing.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Noise levels must comply with San Diego’s strict noise ordinance.
- All appliances and fixtures must be treated with care; any damages or malfunctioning items should be reported immediately.
- Energy and water conservation are required.
- Children must always be supervised and should not operate appliances or move furniture without the host's approval.
- To conserve energy, please turn off the HVAC/mini-splits, fans, lights, etc., when leaving the house. Please also conserve water due to ongoing drought and water restrictions in San Diego.
- 4. Liability and Safety:
- By accepting the booking, all guests unequivocally acknowledge that they are solely responsible for their personal safety, as well as the safety of their invited guests, during their stay at the property. This includes but is not limited to any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that may occur while on the premises. The host categorically disclaims any liability for such incidents.
- Guests fully understand and agree they are using the property and its amenities at their own risk. They agree to indemnify and hold harmless the host from any liability or claim made by any individual while on the property.
- In the event of an emergency, guests should immediately dial 911 for assistance.
- Guests are mandated to strictly adhere to all established health and safety measures and guidelines in place.
- 5. Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Guests are expected to maintain cleanliness during their stay. Cleaning supplies and a vacuum cleaner are provided. An additional cleaning fee will be charged if the property is left very dirty. Longer stays necessitate a deep-cleaning service, which will incur an additional charge.
- Please be aware that any smoking on the property is strictly prohibited as it leaves the property in an unsuitable condition for the next guest. Violating this policy will result in a remediation charge to restore the property to a rentable condition, and guests may be held responsible for damages incurred and the potential loss of subsequent reservations.
- Housekeeping or maid service is not provided but can be arranged upon request. For guests staying longer than two weeks, cleaning at least every two weeks by our trusted cleaners is required. The cleaning fee is payable directly to the cleaners.
- Guests are responsible for any plumbing charges incurred due to improper disposal of items in toilets, sinks, or garbage disposals.
- Consumables left behind by previous guests are consumed at the guest's discretion.
- 6. Trash and Recycling:
- Guests should follow San Diego's strict recycling guidelines and adhere to the pickup schedule posted in the kitchen and online.
- 7. Check-out Procedures:
- Please clean up after your stay, including loading and running the dishwasher, taking out the trash, and washing a load of bed sheets or towels.
- Turn off all AC units, fans, bathroom floor heaters, and lights, and lock all doors and windows upon departure.
- 8. Compliance and Extra Charges:
- Compliance with all house rules is mandatory. Any violation may result in additional charges to cover the cost of cleaning, repair, or replacement of items, including compensation for the time and effort of contractors, property owners, and their staff.
- 9. Cancellations and Insurance:
- Unforeseen events can lead to unexpected cancellations. To ensure financial protection against such circumstances, it is recommended that guests secure a travel insurance policy. This could provide guests with a refund, per their individual policy's terms and conditions.
