Come emerge yourself in the ultimate New Orleans experience! This centrally located victorian duplex is only a short walk to Downtown and the Superdome, or a swift 1 mile walk/drive/uber to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. There’s also a brand new Trader Joe’s a few blocks away!
**PLEASE NOTE**: The home is a traditional New Orleans shotgun-style layout, so the rooms are all connected in a series, so to walk from the living room to the kitchen or rear of the home, you have to pass through the two bedrooms (floor plan in photos for clarity).
Outfitted with stylish furniture, finishes, and decor, you and your guests will find all of the comforts of home. Featuring a stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and high speed internet as just some of the amenities. Fall into soft sheets and plush linens after a long day of exploring all the city has to offer. Or take it outside to your own private, fully fenced backyard oasis, complete with a copper fire pit, Adirondack chairs, a BBQ pit with charcoal, and an outdoor cooler.
This is also a historic home, and the floors, while refinished, are a bit uneven and slope in the back of the house. There is no onsite parking, but there is plenty of free street parking in the area. Our updated duplex can sleep up to 4 guests, ideal for small families or business travelers. The bedroom configurations are as follows:
Bedroom 1: 1 Queen Bed
Bedroom 2: 1 King Bed
Common Spaces: 1 Sofa (not a pullout), 1 Full Bathrooms featuring a bathtub and shower combo
* If you have a large group consider renting both sides! The left side is our sister property! *
The home is professionally cleaned prior to every stay and stocked with plenty of linens and towels for your group.
Upon acceptance of your reservation, you will receive a welcome letter containing all of the information you need to access the home and ensure your stay is a memorable one! If you have any additional questions, we are available at any time to assist.
Permits: 21-CSTR-19536, 22-OSTR-08383
Guests will have full access to the duplex and backyard space.
We’re available by call or text, 24 hours a day, should any needs arise during your stay.
Situated on the borders of famous neighborhoods, The Tulane/Gravier area of New Orleans is a neighborhood that is a subdistrict of the Mid City neighborhood. The City Planning Commission designates its borders as St. Louis Street to its north, North Claiborne Avenue, and Iberville Street. North and South Derbigny Streets and Cleveland Streets also comprise its street borders to the east. The famous Pontchartrain Expressway makes up its south border
Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we’ve never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!
From beautiful sights, taste bud tingling foods, and vibrant live music, who wouldn’t want to visit?! We recommend using public transportation, including streetcars, buses, Uber or Lyft during your stay. For another fun way to explore the area, try Blue Bikes, a ride sharing bike rental all around the city.
Parking is not included. There is plenty of free street parking in the area.
New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season.
