Algiers Point, founded in 1719, is second-oldest neighborhood in New Orleans and the only one located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River. Its unique geography offers easy access to downtown and the French Quarter, the city’s best skyline views, and a serene setting, separated by the river from the noise and traffic of downtown. The Point, as locals call it, was once home to many jazz musicians. Some popular neighborhood spots: Barracuda tacos and margaritas; Tavolino Pizza and Lounge; Dry Dock Cafe (traditional New Orleans seafood, etc.); Congregation coffee shop; Crown & Anchor English Pub.
The Algiers Point Ferry offers a quick and picturesque ride across the Mississippi River to the French Quarter and downtown, leaving every half hour. Cost: $2. The neighborhood is also a short ride from other historic areas and popular attractions by Uber/Lyft or bus. The city’s Street Car network, with a stop at the Canal Street Ferry terminal, is another great way to get around.

We ask that you partner with us in maintaining a clean and aesthetically-pleasing environment for all our guests to enjoy. We maintain good relationships with our neighboring homeowners and remain in open communication. Please work with us in helping provide everyone with a great experience during your stay. Please read the House Rules below before booking. A reminder text will go out the day before.

⚜ DO NOT BRING USED CIGARETTE BUTTS INSIDE. We have provided a cigarette receptacle on the back porch.
⚜ NO PARTIES. NO GATHERINGS/EVENTS. This is an exciting but quiet neighborhood. Managers and maintenance personnel periodically drive by the homes and cameras are randomly placed outside of some properties for the security of both our guests and our neighbors. If guests are discovered having a party, we kindly ask that they immediately leave to prevent potential escalation. Full deposit will be forfeited. A pre-approved minimum $500 fine shall be applied upon check-out if this request is violated.
⚜ Please be respectful of the neighbors and limit noise, especially after 8:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 pm on weekends.
⚜ No confetti, silly string, party poppers, bathtub bombs, or any other items that would not be cleaned up easily.
⚜ Place used dishes, pans, etc., in dishwasher.
⚜ Pets are not allowed.
⚜ Of course, mistakes happen. We understand. Please notify us of any accidental damage, and we will work with you to limit or avoid any costs on your end.
