Pearly Beach House gazes straight out over the ocean, perched directly
across from the Blue Flag Castle Beach of Pearly Beach, a little-known
Overberg coastal jewel just 15 minutes from Gansbaai and 30 minutes
from the quaint and bustling the inland village of Stanford. The little
hamlet of Pearly Beach boasts a well-stocked resort shop, a very
popular local brewery/restaurant and a handful of other local
conveniences. But the main attraction of this beautifully authentic
part of the Overberg Coast lies in the endless miles of pristine pearly
white soft sandy beaches, dotted with rocky outcrops, local fishermen,
crystal clear tidal pools, stunning bays, visiting whales and dolphins,
huge flocks of migrating birds and the soul-redeeming feel of untamed
nature in abundance all around.
The Pearly Beach conservancy ensures a peaceful and bountiful existence
for all the sea and land creatures within its boundaries so at Pearly
Beach House you will hear birds chattering endlessly, see tortoises
trying to enter the property, find local Mongoose families popping in
to say hello and revel in butterflies going about their business while
you relax on the patio, deck or even in your bedroom watching the
endless ebb and flow of the waves across the undulating dunes and lush
Fynbos.
The home itself has been newly renovated with the making of memorable
family moments in mind. There are 3 bedrooms with sea views and a
fourth which looks towards the mountains. The main bedroom is ensuite
while the others enjoy a newly renovated family bathroom. There is also
an outside bathroom/shower with its own little view of the ocean. The
main bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, while the second contains a
queen, the third has 2 ¾ beds, and the fourth has another queen. There
is ample cupboard space all around.
In terms of family gatherings or entertaining friends, there are many
options. There are in fact 3 braais at Pearly Beach House. The first is
the BinneBraai which is the focal point of the newly renovated,
well-equipped kitchen, keeping everyone warm as well as masterfully
preparing food, especially during those chilly winter months where
gathering around the bespoke central island will be a cosy affair.
The second braai area is on the patio outside the main lounge where you
can braai for family and friends, enjoy your chosen sport or movie, all
the while also watching the ocean roll by just below you. There is also
a bathroom and outdoor shower, with a washbasin and sea views around
the corner.
The third braai is on the huge front deck with its views forever and a
wonderful blue-sky, wide-open feel. Both these braais are superbly
situated to enjoy the glorious sunsets Pearly Beach House is graced
with almost every evening.
To top it off the north side of the house enjoys a sunny raised deck
area for those alfresco moments as well as a café style kitchen window
allowing for loads of light and fresh air. The second lounge area is
also on this north side of the house and is extremely versatile as its
huge concertina doors can be opened completely to bring the outside in
or kept closed and cosy to enjoy a “movie night” on the large, smart,
Netflix-enabled TV. WiFi is freely available at Pearly Beach House.
Both lounge areas offer a Smart TV for guest comfort and convenience.
If unspoiled beaches, authentic experiences, beautiful views, peace and
tranquillity, soul-restoring long beach walks or runs, friend and
family memory-making moments, the glory of nature and sandy feet are
your thing, don’t hesitate! Pearly Beach House is the one for you.
