Nestled within a serene forest setting, the cabin’s exterior is a harmonious fusion of rustic charm and modern elegance. The natural wood siding and stone accents seamlessly integrate with the lush surroundings, inviting you to step into a world of relaxation and adventure.
As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by an open-concept living area that exudes warmth and comfort. The living room features a grand stone fireplace that anchors the space, creating a cozy ambiance for relaxation and conversation. Oversized windows frame sweeping views of the forested landscape, allowing natural light to pour in and connecting you with the outdoors. Adjacent to the living area, the fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and space for culinary creativity. The adjoining dining area offers a rustic yet refined space to savor meals while sharing stories of the day’s mountain explorations.
Step outside onto the expansive wraparound deck, where the delights continue. The deck also offers outdoor seating and a barbecue grill, perfect for al fresco dining amidst the tranquility of the mountain setting.
The cabin features three thoughtfully designed bedrooms, each an oasis of comfort and style. The master suite is a retreat in itself, boasting a king-size bed, TV, and en-suite bathroom. The additional bedrooms are on the lower level, one a king bedroom, and the other a twin over full bunk room , each with a private TV. An additional bathroom ensures convenience and privacy for all guests.
Near the bedrooms is the dedicated game room, a haven of entertainment for all ages. Equipped with foosball and shuffleboard tables and TV, this room is where laughter and friendly competition flourish. Whether it’s a lively game night or a relaxed evening of leisure, the game room promises endless enjoyment. Accessed from the game room, on the lower deck, a private hot tub beckons, inviting you to soak your cares away while watching for wildlife below.
Located in close proximity to the majestic Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Linville Caverns, your cabin serves as a gateway to exploration and adventure. Whether it’s hiking the diverse trails, marveling at the mile-high swinging bridge, or immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the surrounding area, every day presents a new opportunity for discovery. The Heartwood is more than just a vacation rental – it’s a haven of relaxation, recreation, and connection with nature. Whether you’re seeking an active mountain getaway or a serene retreat, this cabin promises an unparalleled experience that will leave you rejuvenated and inspired.
Additional Notes:
- The Heartwood was formerly know as Highlander Hideaway
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Firewood for the outdoor firepit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice for $25 per night plus taxes. This provides two wrapped bundles of wood and a firestarter per nightly bundle.
- AWD/4WD and potentially chains are needed to access the mountain in times of snow or ice. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Please plan accordingly!
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
