Villa Cori

The complex of the luxury beachfront detached homes is located in the traditional settlement of Livadi in the island of Astypalaia (pronounced as ‘asti–pa–le-a’), carved into a rock hillside overlooking the beautiful Venetian castle and Chora, the island’s capital, as well as the beautiful beach of Livadi. The houses are built according to the traditional architecture. The white and blue colours dominate both in the exterior and interior. Each independent house is located at a different height and has its own courtyard and entrance. The complex reminds of the white cubic houses around the castle in Chora, with their whitewashed staircases. One of the architect’s goals was the harmonious integration of the complex into the landscape, respecting the surrounding environment and distinctive Astypalitian landscape. Villa Cori is the only ground floor Villa of the complex with a total area of ​​65.50 sq.m. It consists of two double bedrooms both fully air conditioned (which can be split to four single ones upon your request), bathroom with an equipped column of hydro-massage, wc and a spacious open plan living kitchen area with a fully equipped kitchen. “Cori” can accommodate up to 5 people, including the sofa bed in the living room which has a high-quality sleeping mattress. The villa has its own private veranda with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, the castle and the traditional village of Hora as well as the Livadi beach. The terrace is covered with a white pergola, and furnished with a dining table and chairs so that visitors can spend there many hours of relaxation and tranquility enjoying not only the view of the island but also the food and coffee all day long. The decoration combines a refined character with a more traditional as well as modern. Traditional wooden ceilings, wooden wardrobes and furniture with references to the tradition of Astypalaia island, as gkritzoles in the kitchen. Key elements of the design are the functionality of the villa, offering a comfortable and pleasant stay to visitors. For this reason, the materials and the products were selected carefully from leading companies in furniture, lighting, plumbing and mattresses (COCOMAT).  Moreover, the house has its own safe and luggage compartment for better service to tenants. Finally, the “Cori” has small outdoor private heated pool with jacuzzi (about 4,5 m2)  with panoramic views of the castle and the sea and relaxation area with sunbeds, its own independent storage room and its own parking space right next to the entrance of the villa.
