It boasts a rooftop terrace, where you can relax and if you decide to swim, there is the charming Portello two minutes from the house. For more than 40 years, the owner of this house has patiently restored and embellished it with rare objects, giving it a very special ambiance. The fortress dates back to 583 by mainlanders fleeing slavic and Avaric invaders. From the the 10th century AD, the town developed into an important trade and maritime centre. The fortress has withstood countless invasions and sieges over the centuries, earning the nickname « Gibraltar of the East ». Today it is one of the most picturesque places in Greece, and that’s saying something ! There is a road connection from the mainland to the entrance gate of the village with a regular bus service from the downtown to Kastro.
