This light and airy holiday home sits in a secluded spot by the woods on the edge of the village of Benhall on the Suffolk Coast – ideal for a romantic weekend or a longer stay exploring the area. The picturesque seaside town of Aldeburgh, the magical village of Thorpeness, the musical Snape with its independent shops and Concert Hall, and the historic towns of Orford and Framlingham are a short drive or an energetic cycle ride away.
GROUND FLOOR
You’re welcomed directly into the living area of this delightful open
holiday home. The living/kitchen/dining room has been well-designed with kitchen units wrapping around one corner, housing an electric oven, four-ring induction hob and slimline dishwasher. Additionally, there’s a free-standing Nespresso coffee machine (please bring your own pods), a kettle and a toaster.
The sturdy dining table with four chairs allows you to dine at home and a sofa, armchair, nest of tables and a hall table complete the furnishings with entertainment in a Smart Samsung TV with BBC iPlayer etc. The chic wood burner is an added bonus, a starter pack will be provided but you may want to bring more logs for your stay.
FIRST FLOOR
Carpeted stairs with handrails on either side rise directly into the first-floor bedroom which has painted wooden floors. Doors open into the separate shower room.
BEDROOM
A gorgeous room with king size bed, a little chair, ample storage in a chest of drawers, two bedside units and a few hangers for your clothes. Sitting in the corner is a beautiful free-standing slipper bath.
SHOWER ROOM
Through a folding door, you’ll find this compact room with a full-sized shower cubicle with a handheld shower on a wall attachment, a wash basin with storage beneath, a WC, a heated towel rail (towels are provided) and a window giving natural light.
OUTSIDE
This detached holiday home is located near the owners’ house in an idyllic setting down a no through road on the edge of the village of Benhall, so you can make the most of the surrounding countryside with all the attractions of the Suffolk Coast and Countryside just a short drive away; including the picturesque seaside town of Aldeburgh which is just a 10-minute drive. There’s secure parking for your car on the gravel drive and a bistro-style table with a couple of chairs where you can soak up the sun and listen to the birds. The closest town is Saxmundham where you’ll find supermarkets, independent shops, restaurants and The Bell Hotel. There are a number of country pubs nearby, including The Chequers in Friston and, if you’d rather walk and meet some of the locals you can try the Benhall and Sternfield ex-serviceman’s village social club in School Lane. One dog is allowed to stay and you’ll find an external shower for it, due to the size of the property it’s probably best not to bring a Great Dane!
