This quaint and cosy holiday home with a large garden has been cleverly well-designed to provide everything you could need for a corporate break if working at nearby Sizewell, a family holiday or a short break within easy reach of the seaside. The open plan ground floor combines a comfy sitting area with a kitchen equipped for guests to cater at home, and bar seating with four stools where you can enjoy meals – whether home-cooked or takeaways (there’s plenty of choice within walking distance!).
GROUND FLOOR
You’re welcomed into the cosy open plan living/kitchen/dining room with a door to the garden at the back. Hard flooring runs throughout with wooden stairs rising to the first-floor landing.
KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM
Cleverly designed to give space to relax in the sitting area with a couple of deep sofas positioned so you can watch the large TV, with a coffee table for your drinks; and the kitchen behind where the countertop and four bar stools give space to eat at home if you prefer. There’s also a folding table and two folding chairs if you’d rather eat at a lower level, more suited to smaller children too. Coats and footwear can be left by the door where you’ll find hooks and a shoe rack.
The kitchen’s very well equipped for a ‘galley’ kitchen with a five shelf fridge and three drawer freezer beneath, an electric oven and four ring gas hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. there’s also a washing machine in the shed and a clothes rack for drying.
BATHROOM
This modern bathroom sits at the back of the cottage with both rain and handheld showers over the bath, a WC, wash basin and heated towel rail (towels provided).
FIRST FLOOR
Both bedrooms are off the small landing and wooden floors run throughout the first floor
MAIN BEDROOM
The king size bed takes pride of place in this contemporary styled bedroom with bedside units on either side and space to unpack and settle in with wardrobes giving hanging and shelf space. There’s even a desk and chair for those needing to work from home or use it as a dressing table with mirror provided and a socket conveniently placed for hair drying!
CHILDREN’S BEDROOM
At the back of Lily Cottage, this is a fun filled room for little guests with lots of games and toys to explore, a travel cot for the littlest one and blackout curtain in the hope the children will sleep later in the morning. The bunk beds aren’t full size so are only really suitable for children or adults on the smaller size and there’s hanging and shelf space in the wardrobe.
GARDEN
An incredibly big, enclosed garden for a quaint cottage. Primarily gravelled with a patio area close to the house. There are gates giving access to neighbouring properties and you could wheel bikes along the back to store them by the house. There’s a garden table and two chairs in the shed.

There’s unrestricted parking on Paradise PIace and other streets close by on a first come basis.

About the area
Leiston, a charming town in the county of Suffolk, England, is a destination that offers a tranquil escape into the English countryside, steeped in history and surrounded by picturesque landscapes. While it may not be as well-known as some of the UK's larger cities, Leiston boasts a unique charm that makes it a worthwhile visit for those looking to explore the road less traveled.
The town's most notable historical site is the Leiston Abbey, which dates back to the 14th century. The ruins of this Premonstratensian abbey are open to the public and provide a fascinating glimpse into the past. Visitors can wander through the remains of the church, cloister, and chapter house, imagining the lives of the canons who once lived there.
For those interested in industrial heritage, the Long Shop Museum is a must-visit. Housed in a building that was part of the Richard Garrett Engineering Works, the museum showcases the town's rich history of manufacturing, including steam engines and agricultural machinery. It's an excellent place to learn about the industrial revolution and its impact on rural England.
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity of Leiston to the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This protected landscape offers miles of unspoiled coastline, heathland, and forests, perfect for hiking, birdwatching, and simply enjoying the great outdoors. Nearby RSPB Minsmere is a haven for wildlife, particularly birds, making it a popular spot for nature lovers and photographers.
For a day at the beach, the small seaside town of Aldeburgh is just a short drive away. Here, visitors can enjoy a pebble beach, fresh seafood, and the charming high street with its independent shops and galleries. Aldeburgh is also home to the internationally renowned Aldeburgh Festival, a classical music event founded by composer Benjamin Britten.
Leiston's location also makes it an ideal base for exploring other Suffolk attractions, such as the picturesque villages of the Suffolk Heritage Coast, the historic town of Framlingham with its impressive castle, and the vibrant cultural scene of Ipswich.
In essence, Leiston offers a peaceful retreat with a touch of history, nature, and culture. It's a destination that invites visitors to slow down, step back in time, and enjoy the serene beauty of the English countryside.
