Guadalupe Getaway
Tucked in the shade of soaring pecan trees on the beautiful banks of the Guadalupe River, this waterfront home is the perfect getaway for relaxing days spent swimming, fishing, and exploring the river in the provided kayaks.
Guadalupe Getaway sits on an acre of land with 155 feet of frontage on Lake Seguin, a deepwater stretch of the river that’s part of the famed Texas Paddling Trail. It’s the perfect place for water activities, offering a dock, a swim ladder, a rope swing over the water, and four youth-sized and two full-sized kayaks and paddles for your use (bring your own life jackets --not provided). The house also enjoys a prime location across the water from Max Starcke Park, the 227-acre expanse known for its public golf course, wave pool, playgrounds, sports courts and fields, and Fourth of July fireworks. With its extra sleeping capacity in the spacious private retreat upstairs, this vacation home is the perfect spot for large or multiple families to rent while playing in baseball and softball tourneys at Starcke Park, or for weekend getaways with bigger groups.
Spend your days strolling historic downtown Seguin, riding the roller coasters at ZDT’s Amusement Park, splashing at Schlitterbahn, shopping at the Gruene Hall & Shopping District and San Marcos Premium Outlets, and sampling local wine, beer, and barbecue in New Braunfels, San Marcos, and San Antonio. You’ll always be greeted home to a covered back patio that spans the width of the house - a wonderful spot to barbecue, sit back in Adirondack chairs, and watch the river roll by.
The open-concept interior features lofty ceilings with beautiful wood and stone details and stained and scored concrete floors, plus views of Lake Seguin through the rear bank of windows. Prepare dinner using stainless steel kitchen appliances and choose between three different dining areas for indoor meals. In the evening, gather in the living room to watch sports or stream a favorite series on the 75-inch smart TV by the fireplace. Gather in the dining room to play cards or games at the poker table (with cover to provide additional dining & gaming space) or play a round of Ping-Pong or air hockey with the kids.
In addition to the large living and dining areas, this home offers three bedrooms on the main floor, one of which is a lovely primary suite with its own smart TV, bathroom, and access to the patio. The spacious 1,200-square-foot upstairs retreat area offers two queen beds, three twin beds, additional living and game areas, and a full bath in a fully air-conditioned space.
