With shallow, calm waters, it's an ideal spot for families and those looking to indulge in a variety of water sports.
Beyond the allure of its beaches, Protaras is a treasure trove of natural beauty. The area is home to the Cape Greco National Forest Park, a protected nature reserve offering stunning landscapes, sea caves, and a wealth of flora and fauna. The town itself is a vibrant mix of traditional charm and modern amenities. Visitors can stroll along the main strip, which is lined with a wide array of shops, tavernas, and bars. The local cuisine is a highlight, with fresh seafood and traditional Cypriot dishes on offer, often accompanied by live music and the warm hospitality of the locals.
For those interested in history and culture, the nearby town of Paralimni presents a more traditional Cypriot experience, with its historic churches and quaint village square.
