About the area
Port Stephens, located in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, is a stunning coastal destination that offers a diverse array of natural attractions and leisure activities, making it a perfect getaway for travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation.
The area is renowned for its beautiful bays, pristine beaches, and clear waters, which are ideal for swimming, surfing, and snorkeling. One of the most popular spots is Nelson Bay, a charming town with a marina that serves as a hub for water activities such as dolphin and whale watching cruises. The nearby Tomaree Head Summit Walk is a must-do for visitors, providing panoramic views of the coastline and offshore islands from the top.
Port Stephens is also famous for its resident bottlenose dolphins, with the region being home to one of the largest populations in Australia.
