Casa Pez Loro is a uniquely designed and landscaped home created with love and care by a famed local architect as his own personal residence. The home is located in a private and secure gated community on Yal Ku lagoon.
The large lagoon is world renowned for its crystal clear, warm and tranquil waters, which are filled with vibrant tropical fish. Just steps from the home, Yal Ku lagoon is a place where all vacationers, even children and seniors, can safely enjoy “playing with the fish”. Access to the lagoon is limited to homeowners and a few paying guests of a single business nearby, so the lagoon is never very crowded. Also there is a Tennis court and you will find some balls and tennis rackets at the property.

The home has many one of a kind features. Its round palapa design, combined with the excellent audio system inside and out, create perfect acoustics for listening to music of all types. When you tune into the Sonos system , you will feel like you are listening to a live concert!
Casa Pez Loro is beautifully and tastefully designed and decorated to achieve a calm and serene atmosphere. All of the furniture is custom made --- there are no square walls inside the house.
The outdoor grounds of the home are extremely private and lush. Natural landscaping creates a tropical and peaceful feel with plenty of shade , coconut trees , honeysuckle and terraced plantings. Neighbors and tourists are never in view. In the front of the property , a large fountain wall creates the sounds of natural water flowing through rocks. The main living area opens in the rear to a large covered patio , pool and hot tub. You are literally 3 minutes from the main highway but once at the home , you hear only the sounds of nature.
Another special feature of Casa Pez Loro is its private gym, spacious steam room with shower and a private locker room. After a visit to snorkel in the lagoon , a trip to the beach, or a workout in the gym, what could be better than a eucalyptus steam bath with a refreshing overhead shower? Then , perhaps you’ll retire to one of the 8 hammocks spread about the property for an afternoon siesta . Or, take a dip in the pool and unwind in the hot tub. Private massages can be arranged by our own private property manager.
The home also has second level patio , a rooftop patio, and a “crows nest” where you are above the trees . Perfect for bird watching , an evening with friends and cocktails or watching the sun rise with your coffee.
Inside Casa Pez Loro is a fully stocked custom Italian kitchen, and a gas barbecue a large living room , a media room wich can be used as a bedroom with 2 single beds and three large bedrooms, each with private bath. The bedrooms each have two queen beds. For larger parties , the media room can be easily fitted for a fourth bedroom with 2 single folding beds ; it also has a large bathroom with shower.
Private chef services can be arranged through our property manager . The home has excellent internet service, Sky TV and ROKU and is a 5 minute drive to the town of Akumal and its beach. There are excellent restaurants in Akumal. Playa Del Carmen and Tulum are both about a 30 minutes drive.
This home has a full-time caretaker who lives in an apartment on the property. A Continental breakfast will be provide only 1 time during the stay and will be at the next morning from your arrival.
You will have access to the entire villa including indoor and outdoor spaces.
It is extremely quiet and peaceful with little but the sound of the ocean.
You are less than a 10 minute drive into the town of Akumal where you can find many restaurants, shops and bars to enjoy.

1 - We can organize transportation for you without too much notice. Whether its transportation to and from the airport or a van to explore Tulum and Playa del Carmen, we can help make arrangements.
2 - You can rent a vehicle while staying at this property so that you can visit all parts of the Mayan Riviera including Akumal, Tulum and Playa del Carmen.
