Rumored to be the oldest business in the "Little Town that Rocks," Pellom’s Time Shop was operated by the colorful John Pellom for 68 years. Notorious for never actually fixing the clocks and watches that were put in his care, time certainly stood still when this legendary local passed away in 2017, but his ever-eccentric and endearing influence can still be felt in this rare retreat. From the vintage pops of cherry red appliances to the original business name handpainted on the window to the sleek finishes that include hydraulic lift shelves and blackout blinds-old-time charm and present-day convenience perfectly combine at Pellom’s Time Shop. At "The Most Magical Stay in the Land," you’ll be inspired to enjoy life’s simple pleasures-whether it’s sipping wine and socializing at the new wine bar across the street (The Station), playing round after round of arcade games in the lower-level apartment, or enjoying morning coffee on the upper deck as the wind drifts through the towering cherry tree winding upward from the courtyard below. About the Home • Two private, reserved parking spots are available behind the property, offering unparalleled access to downtown Black Mountain. • The kitchen is outfitted with vintage-inspired appliances and a Keurig coffee maker. • The primary bedroom is located on the main floor and offers a queen-size bed. The bathroom, with a soaking tub and shower, can be accessed from the main living area. • The bonus level is accessed from the fully fenced courtyard. This space offers a queen-size Futon with an impressive mattress, two arcade games, a 50" smart TV with Cable, a wet bar with a mini-fridge, and a full bathroom with a hand-held shower head. Please note, there is exterior access only. • There is a Housbay Sleep Sound Machine with 31 Soothing Sounds, 5W Loud Stereo Sound & Auto-Off Timer to provide an excellent night’s sleep.
