Nestled within the private & pristine 1780 community in Lake James, this three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath cabin sleeps up to 10 people comfortably and offers a stunning screened-in porch with a wood-burning fireplace and dining area, an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill & bar seating with lakefront views, and a private dock and launch/beach area. Inside, the home is filled with gorgeous high-end furnishings and numerous upscale amenities. The primary bedroom has a King bed and en suite bath on the main level as well as access to a private covered porch with lovely lake views. The upper level offers an open loft with a full-size pullout sofa, a bedroom with a Queen bed and en suite bath, and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds (2 fulls on bottom, 2 twins on top), and an en suite bath.
Located just 45 minutes from Asheville in Nebo, this upscale lakefront home is the perfect place to get away and enjoy everything the Lake James area has to offer. Spend your days exploring nearby hiking trails like the Fonta Flora Loop in Lake James State Park or High Shoal Falls in South Mountains State Park before grabbing a refreshing craft beer at Fonta Flora’s open-air brewery at Whippoorwill Farm. Take a short 25-minute drive to reach downtown Marion, where you can spend your afternoon exploring the new 310 District, an indoor shopping space that’s home to Toonez Chop House, Chances of Sprinkles Bakery, and several retail shops. For dinner, head to J. Hartman’s for fresh seafood and a cocktail, or McDowell Local for a handcrafted dish paired with the NC staple, Cheerwine.
If shopping is your thing, be sure to stop by the Lake James Antique Mall, or take a short 30-minute drive to the Simply Charming town of Morganton, where you can find boutiques, novelty shops, regional museums, and art galleries to pick up a souvenir to remind you of your time by the lake in the mountains! Please note: This rental is pet-friendly with an additional fee. This home is lakefront and offers a private boat dock & beach area on Lake James to enjoy. The boat slip and lift are for owner use only, and there will be a boat parked there during the summer months. However, there are cleats on the opposite side of the dock available for guest use. For boat rentals, contact the Lake James Neighborhood Store (5 miles away) or Noah’s Landing (11 miles away). While the home provides access to Lake James, it does NOT offer access to Camp Lake James amenities.
