Our flat is in a great location, on the edge of the beautiful Preston Park in a peaceful residential area. It’s close enough to the centre of Brighton that you can easily walk to all of the main attractions. The beach is just 1.5 miles away. There are some great cafes and pubs within a few minutes from the flat. The off street parking space is a real bonus!
This place is perfect for a couple, friends or a small family to use as a base for exploring Brighton.
Situated on the first and second floor of this Victorian building is our spacious and well loved one bedroom flat. There’s a sizeable, high ceilinged lounge with 3 sofas on the first floor and a newly renovated kitchen we’re sad to leave. You’re more than welcome to use our bean-to-cup coffee machine, and enjoy coffee and breakfast in the morning on the breakfast bar with 2 stools. There is also plenty of tea, if you prefer!
Up the stairs is the large double bedroom. There is wifi throughout the flat (it’s decent) and Sonos that you’re welcome to use. There is plenty of space to store any personal belongings. The bed is made up with fresh white linen and there are plenty of towels. It’s a brand new bed as of November 2017 with an Otty mattress, also new. On the same floor, the bathroom has a lovely bath and more notably a shower that I’m a big fan of. It’s kept well stocked with toiletries such as soap and shampoo.
There’s no need to worry about parking as we have a parking space at the back of the building off the main road.
We’re very near to Preston Park and not far from the shops, pubs and restaurants of the London Rd area. Just beyond that are the funky, boutique/independent shops of the North Laine. The nearest shops though are seconds away and include a great deli (with fresh espresso beans) and a health food store.
You can walk or jump on a bus to the Laines, the beach and the centre of town from just outside the flat.
You will have the whole place to yourselves during your stay, except for one room which is locked for storage.
If you’re driving, you are welcome to use our off street parking space for one car which is behind the building. It is best to park up for the duration of your trip as parking in the centre of Brighton can be difficult and expensive.
Brighton train station is less than a mile away, roughly 5 minutes in a taxi or Uber.
There are plenty of frequent buses which travel all over town - please feel free to ask if you’d like help with planning a route.
All of the main attractions are within a 30 minute walk of the flat so you can also travel on foot if you prefer. If you’re able, it’s recommended.
Bikes can be hired from many points around Brighton, with the Brighton Bike Share Scheme. The nearest collection point in Preston Park. There is a fantastic cycle path which stretches all along the seafront from the iconic beach huts in Hove all the way past Brighton Beach and the cliffs of Rottingdean.
A travel cot is available for £20 so please request this when you book if you’d like to use it.

About the area
Our place is in a great location next to Preston Park which has a cafe, a playground and even a Velodrome. It's the perfect spot for a morning jog or some outdoor yoga. There are also 3 gyms nearby on London Road if fitness is your thing.
If you'd prefer a more relaxing stay, there's plenty nearby for you too - some lovely local cafes such as the Green Kitchen and Cafe Plenty, both great for breakfast and lunch. There are also some excellent pubs in the area such as the Park View (great Sunday roasts) and the Open House.
A 10 minute walk will take you to London Road, which has plenty more pubs, shops and restaurants - some favourites are Fatto A Mano Italian (pizza) restaurant, The Joker (for incredible buffalo wings), Senor Bhudda for tapas (bygof Tuesday), and Presuming Ed's cafe. Just off London Road is the Open Market which has more cafes and independent shops.
A 23 minute walk will take you through the North Laine to the centre of town, with all of the amazing attractions that Brighton has to offer, all the way down to the beach.
