Payment & Cancellation - 14 Day Policy

Grace Period:

  • Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.

Payment Policy:

  • 14 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
  • More than 14 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 14 days prior to arrival.
  • For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 14 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
  • More than 14 days before arrival: 100% refund.

House rules

  • HOMES BY I DO GOOD: CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE APARTMENTS:
  • Homes By I Do Good subleases apartments in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. For clarity, all guests’ visits are less than a 12-month period. It is therefore expressly specified that this agreement and its terms and conditions are not subject to the mandatory provision of the Vietnamese Legislation governing the home leases because the apartments shall be used exclusively as a provisory residence of guests, during their visits in Ho Chi Minh.
  • This Contract’s Terms and Conditions of Service are between Homes By I Do Good and the guest with regards to one of the Ho Chi Minh properties that Homes By I Do Good is managing. The actual guest’s name and details, (including their added guest names, if any), property address and check-in and check-out dates are clearly stated on the booking invoice that the guest will receive once payment is confirmed and Terms and Conditions are digitally signed.
  • GRANT OF LEASE
  • Homes By I Do Good hereby leases unto the guest, and the guest hereby rents from Homes By I Do Good , one of the properties that Homes By I Do Good subleases from various owners, all located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
  • All properties have fully stocked kitchen with stove, dish washer, microwave and fridge, wine glasses & plates, kitchen utensils, Washer, beds & mattresses, carpets, pillows, linens, towels, hair dryers, hangers, sofas, coffee tables, media unit, dining table and chairs, Televisions, OB speaker, vacuum cleaner.
  • SERVICES
  • Homes By I Do Good provides clean apartments and towels / sheets for use by our guests. For all extra services’ requirements, Homes By I Do Good will have to be informed prior to commencement of the stay.
  • Fast Internet services are provided in all our properties.
  • TERM
  • This contract’s terms and conditions will begin from the date that the guest digitally signs this contract and end on the “check-out date”, as stated on the details of the booking invoice. The time between the contract’s terms and conditions are signed and the check-out date will hereinafter be referred to as the “Term”.
  • The guest must vacate the property latest by 11:00 am of the check-out date, unless Homes By I Do Good and the guest both agree in writing to extend the Term of the guest’s stay of the property.
  • If the guest extends the stay without the written authorization of Homes By I Do Good, and there is availability, then the guest will be charged the full daily rate of that additional day(s). If there is no availability, the guest must immediately vacate the property, otherwise they will be deemed as trespassing and local authorities will be informed.
  • MAKING A BOOKING
  • Guests are responsible for payment of the total price of the accommodation, as per the Payment schedule below, and the compliance of members of your party with these Contract conditions. Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 18 years of age at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if the guest has not complied with the payment schedule below or for any other reason that Homes By I Do Good thinks reasonable.
  • PAYMENT AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE
  • We are entitled to treat your booking as cancelled if you fail to make full payment on the pre-agreed time. If applicable, this would be explained at the time of booking. All online payments must be authorized by the guest through a secure system that will request guests to confirm (via email or text) the validity of the payment. Without this guest confirmation, the payment will not be authorized/processed and hence the booking will not be confirmed.
  • Guest Payments Schedule:
  • a) Full payment must be made at the time of booking if it is within 14 days of check in day.
  • b) The first night’s full payment must be made at the time of booking if the booking is more than 14 days before check in day. The balance will be paid on the 14th day before the check-in day.
  • c) For longer than 28-day stays, half of the total payment amount will be charged at the time of booking, the remaining half will be charged 30 days before check-in day. For clarity If booking is made within 30 days of the check-in day, the full amount of the reservation will be charged on booking day.
  • A damage deposit of USD 200 is required and is payable 24 hours before the check in day, to cover the cost of any damages to the property or its contents during your stay. Deposit for over 28-day stays will depend on the length of stay. The amount of deposit will be paid to Homes By I Do Good at the time of your Arrival. The amount of deposit less any applicable claims (if any) will be refunded to you in the same way it was paid to us, within 5 business days of check out.
  • CANCELLATION
  • A) By Guests:
  • Any cancellation by guests (for whatever reason) must be in writing addressed to us by e-mail or text. The effective date of cancellation is the date on which written notification is received by us.
  • Any written cancellations of 30 days or more before check-in day, we will provide a full refund minus the administration fee of 10% of the total fees.
  • Any cancellation of 15 days or more before check-in day, we will charge guests fifty percent of the total reservation amount plus a fixed USD 100 amount for administration and related fees.
  • If a guest cancels less than 15 days before check-in, they will be charged 100% for all nights.
  • Any cancellation for a 28-day or longer stays, made at least 30 days prior to the check-in day, we will charge guests 50 percent of the total reservation amount plus a fixed USD 100 amount for administration and related fees. For cancellation requests within 30 days prior to check-in day, there will be a refund of the total reservation amount minus the first 30 days of the stay, which will be charged in full.
  • For any cancellation on or after your check-in day, irrespective of the stay’s duration, there will be no refund. Damage deposit will be fully refunded, if the property is not used, or no damage has occurred to the property.
  • B) By Homes By I Do Good:
  • In the unlikely event that it is necessary to make an alteration to or cancel the booked rental accommodation specified in the rental confirmation, we will inform you as soon as possible and, if requested, we will try to arrange alternative rental accommodation of a similar type and standard and in a similar location as that originally requested. If the alternative accommodation is not acceptable, we will refund in full all monies paid and shall be under no other liability.
  • If the Guest violates any of the terms and conditions of this Contract, the Contract will be immediately terminated and the Guest will be charged the total price of the reservation plus any damages, if applicable.
  • NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY
  • Only those persons named on the online form may use the property without prior arrangement. The number of people staying at the property must not exceed the number of sleeping places indicated in the property description including the case of infants under two years. In the event that the maximum number is exceeded without prior arrangement, the property owner or Homes By I Do Good reserve the right to refuse or revoke the booking at their own discretion, and cancel the reservation without a guest refund. The property owner or his/her representative shall be allowed free access to the property at any reasonable time during any rented occupancy for the purposes of inspection and maintenance.
  • ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME
  • Arrival and departure times, unless agreed differently, will be 4 pm check-in and 11 am check-out respectively. In case of flight delays clients should contact Homes By I Do Good at the earliest to arrange for check in. Non-arranged early check-ins or late check-outs will be charged at full day’s rate.
  • INSURANCE
  • It is a condition of booking that your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance. This policy must include personal liability and cancellation cover.
  • COMPLAINTS
  • In the event that you raise a complaint, due to a specific problem with one of our properties, you must first contact Homes By I Do Good by telephone or e-mail on the day of your arrival. We will then attempt to resolve the problem. Complaints received at the end of the stay will not be accepted. If you vacate the property before the departure date, you will not be entitled to a refund. If the problem was not resolved to your reasonable satisfaction during your stay, you should put your comments in writing within 7 days of your check-out day. We will forward your written complaint to the Owner and will within reason liaise with the Owner to assist in reaching a satisfactory settlement for all justifiable complaints regarding the property. Neither we, nor the owner can be held responsible for noise or disturbance originating beyond the boundaries of the property or which is beyond our control. If a source of reasonably obvious noise has been in existence prior to your arrival, and we are informed of this, we will contact you to inform you of the disturbance. We cannot be held responsible for the breakdown of mechanical equipment such as pipes, boilers, air conditioning units, etc. nor for the failure of public utilities such as water, gas, electricity, and internet. In the event of discharge our liability shall be limited to the return of the sums paid to us respect to the unused portion of the holiday calculated on a pro rate daily basis.
  • GUESTS RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The guests must keep the property and all furniture, fittings, effects, facilities, and equipment in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the stay and leave the property in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. Guest is responsible for all damage or loss which occurs to the property or its contents during the stay and will be responsible to paying appropriate compensation to Homes By I Do Good in the event of breakages or damage.
  • The guest also agrees to always abide by the following rules during the guest’s stay at the property:
  • All guests staying overnight in the property will need to provide a copy of their government ID (i.e. passport)
  • The suite is solely for the use of the guest and only approved additional guests stated on the booking form.
  • No commercial photography, filming and/or recording, or other commercial usage is allowed without written approval by Homes By I Do Good
  • No pets are allowed in the property.
  • No smoking inside the property is allowed.
  • No social events and other functions (e.g. weddings, receptions, large cocktail parties or any parties/social gatherings whatsoever) on the property without prior agreement at the discretion of Homes By I Do Good
  • Any illegal activity under the Vietnamese law, including but not limited to use of illegal drugs, use or storage of firearms or prostitution/human trafficking are not permitted in any of our properties and will be promptly reported to Vietnamese law enforcement.
  • The guest shall also ensure that the additional persons will also abide by the rules of this agreement.
  • ACCESS
  • Under the terms of this Contract, access to the property by Homes By I Do Good may be undertaken as follows:
  • a) The guest may not unreasonably withhold consent to Homes By I Do Good to enter the property from time to time in order to inspect the property, make necessary or agreed repairs, alterations or improvements, supply agreed services, or exhibit the dwelling unit to workers or contractors required to perform necessary maintenance.
  • b) Homes By I Do Good may enter the dwelling unit at any time for the protection or preservation of the property. Homes By I Do Good may enter the dwelling unit upon reasonable notice to the guest and at a reasonable time for the purpose of repair of the property. “Reasonable notice” for the purpose of repair is notice given at least 24 hours prior to the entry, and reasonable time for the purpose of repair will be between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. b) Homes By I Do Good may enter the dwelling unit when necessary for the further purposes set forth above under any of the following circumstances:
  • i. With the consent of the guest
  • ii. In a case of emergency, or
  • iii. When the guest unreasonably withholds consent
  • c) Homes By I Do Good shall not abuse the right of access nor use it to harass the guest.
  • d) When this Contract is terminated, Homes By I Do Good has the right of access to the unit at any time.
  • LIABILITIES
  • Neither Homes By I Do Good nor the Property Owner shall be responsible for the death of or personal injury of you or any person named on the digital booking form or other person at the property, unless this results from the proven negligence of the owner, ourselves, or our employees. We shall not be liable for any loss, breach or delay due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, including though not limited to, act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident, war or threat of war, civil disturbance, acts, restrictions, regulations, byelaws, or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental or local authority, strikes, lockouts, or other industrial actions or disputes or adverse weather conditions. In any such case, we shall be entitled to treat the contract as discharged. In the event of such discharge, our liability shall be limited to the return of the sums paid to us in respect of the (unused) portion of the booked rental calculated on a pro rata daily basis. We cannot be held responsible for breakdown of mechanical equipment such as pipes, boilers, air conditioning units, electrical appliances, etc. nor for failure of public utilities such as water, gas, electricity, and internet. Neither we nor the Property Owner is responsible for noise or disturbance originating beyond the boundaries of the rented accommodation or which is beyond our control.
  • VIOLATION OF TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT
  • Should the guest or their guests violate any of the terms of this Contract, Homes By I Do Good may terminate the Contract and the guests’ occupancy of the property immediately. The guest waives any and all rights under this Contract upon any violation or breach and shall vacate the property upon Homes By I Do Good request. If Homes By I Do Good finds that the guest is conducting illegal activities in the property or If the guest or his guests inflict any damage to the property or others, which amounts to a monetary cost over and above any given security deposit or rental fees, Homes By I Do Good may seek all legal avenues for recovery of such costs.
  • CHILDREN POLICY
  • Children are generally accepted in our properties. However, some property owners apply certain child age restriction policy. It is your duty to notify us if there will be any children (and their exact age) in the party before finalizing a booking.
  • SECURITY AND VALUABLES
  • Any valuables left at the property are left at your own risk. Neither we nor the owner are responsible for any loss. It is your responsibility to ensure all doors and windows are closed and locked when leaving the property. If theft or damage to the owner’s property occurs through negligence on your part the owner is entitled to seek compensation from you. No refund can be given should you decide to vacate the property because of a burglary unless it can be proven that it was due to Homes By I Do Good or the Owner’s negligence.
  • DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
  • The information you provide to us may be accessed by or given to third parties some of whom may be located outside Vietnam who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you. Those parties process information, process credit card payments and provide support services on our behalf.
  • LAW AND DICLAIMER
  • All contractual obligations arising from this booking are subject to Vietnamese law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Vietnamese courts. Any kind of changes on the Terms and Conditions without any written notification via e-mail, is not consider valid.
