Built in the early 20th century as part of an estate owned by a local noble family for almost 1000 years, Dimora Classica is a wonderful luxury home that can accommodate up to 10 guests. Around the home, you have access to vast gardens and private parkland, which leads out into the idyllic Tuscan countryside. For those who wish to explore further afield, the opportunities for day trips are endless, as the cities of Lucca, Pisa, and Florence are all within easy reach.
Dimora Classica is an elegant three-storey home painted in a pretty pink pastel. From the outside, the house resembles a Renaissance palace and sits in sweeping landscaped gardens filled with fragrant planting, fountains and towering trees. This spacious villa is a haven for those wishing to escape the stresses of day-to-day life, as it offers a wonderful location and plenty of space to unwind inside and out.
The house has been updated recently, so while the ceiling beams and fireplaces remain, adding charm and character to the home, you also have all the modern conveniences you could need while on holiday. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs and high-end bathrooms can be found throughout the house, and the contemporary kitchen has all the gadgets and appliances you could need to cook a tasty meal.
On the ground floor, you will enter the villa through the lovely entrance hall, which opens out into two large sitting rooms, a formal dining room and a modern kitchen. On the first floor, you will find four of the home’s double bedrooms, with the final room set in the romantic tower bedroom. Whichever room you choose, you are assured of a good night’s sleep as the rooms are warm and welcoming, decorated with delicate tones and comfy bedding. If you require extra sleeping space, two extra beds can be provided for little ones in their parent’s bedrooms.
Outdoors, the garden here is spectacular. With endless lawns, established trees and pretty dining terraces, you will spend lots of time here as a family. There is even a swimming pool with a hydromassage corner, a great place for a soak after a long country walk. This outdoor space is ideal for intimate weddings and parties, which can be organised by homeowners.
When you want to collect some groceries or have breakfast in a little café, there are many villages to choose from just a short drive away. There are also cycling and walking trails, protected parkland and equestrian centres nearby, so you can easily get out and explore your surroundings. Furthermore, the bigger towns and cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence can all be reached by car, meaning you will never be bored when staying at Dimora Classica.

Sitting on a hilltop within walking distance of several charming Tuscan villages, Dimora Classica offers an idyllic setting for your Italian escape. With spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and easy access to village stores, eateries bakeries and vineyards, it is hard to imagine a better base for exploring all Tuscany has to offer.
Within 5km of the home, there are two local villages; Altopascio, which is 3km away and renowned for its delicious bread and historic attractions such as the Chapel of San Jacapo and the archaeological site of Loggiato Mediceo. The other village, Orentano, is just 1km away and is where you can find some of the closest eateries and small shops. Nature lovers can also enjoy tranquil walks around the Bosco di Tanali Nature Reserve, which boasts wetlands, walking trails and protected wildlife.
These nearby villages are just a few of the countless incredible villages dotted around this area’s verdant countryside and rolling hills. Another village you could visit is Collodi, which is 16km away by car. Here, Carlo Collodi, the author of Pinocchio, grew up, and there are many attractions inspired by the story of the wooden boy nearby, such as Pinocchio Park. The village is also a wonderfully preserved medieval settlement with a fortified castle and elegant villas, such as Villa Garzoni, with beautiful gardens to stroll around.
For a broader range of shops and cultural attractions, you should visit the city of Lucca, which is 20km away. The postcard-worthy city lies at the bottom of the Apuan Alps in a gorgeous location steeped in history. Hailing from the Roman era, the city is a haven for history lovers, who can start exploring by walking around the imposing walls which once defended the city from attack. You can also cycle through the vast park enveloping the city walls if you prefer to cycle. Lucca is a delightful place to spend the day gazing at the impressive architecture and doing a spot of shopping.
The villa is also well-placed for a day trip to Pisa and its famous leaning tower, 30km away by car. Or maybe you would prefer the world-class art galleries and Renaissance buildings of the magical city of Florence, which is 80km away.
On top of all these brilliant villages, towns and cities, Tuscany is a region of open countryside, ancient pilgrim trails and vineyards. Therefore, you will have plenty of opportunities to get out in nature here, from scenic walks to tours of family-run vineyards. You can even spend the day at the beach, as some of the region’s best beaches are just 55km away in the glamorous town of Forte dei Marmi.
