Scribbles Cottage is a lovingly restored, casual and comfortable home - set in an elevated position above a sweeping bend of the Kangaroo River. It has a quiet cul de sac location, within walking distance of the town centre or the Hampden Bridge. Scribbles Cottage sleeps 7 guests across four stylish bedrooms and has a separate, contemporary home office for guest use. The wraparound verandahs and landscaped gardens are beautiful, and both the large timber deck, or a lawn area with a fire pit, have lovely river views. You will totally unwind at Scribbles Cottage!

Where will I be?
Scribbles Cottage is located in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley village - 1km from the town centre, or 500m from the historic Hampden Bridge. It has a lovely riverfront location, so is suitable for just relaxing, or it is the perfect base for exploring - walks, canoeing, mountain biking, golf, cafes or beautiful country drives.

How is the property laid out?
Scribbles Cottage is set on one level and has 4 bedrooms (one with en-suite shower and toilet), a shared bathroom, a media room with comfy couch and a massive tv, as well as an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with direct access to a very large outdoor deck. The deck and the living room have lovely river views. Two sides of the house are covered by a wide verandah, which can also be accessed from the master bedroom.
The home office room is separate from the house, located near the laundry. It has floor to ceiling glass windows with views of the river.
The outdoor laundry has a washing machine and a basic yet usable 3rd toilet.
Outdoor entertaining options include the large river facing deck, a long outdoor table shaded by vines, and a fire pit area, also with great river views.
The property is fully fenced but because of the proximity to the river, please supervise children at all times.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Scribbles Cottage does not have free to air TV - only a smart tv for streaming content with your own Netflix, Stan or other account.
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note that neither Property Manager nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Scribbles Cottage has lovely gardens and lawn areas, to both sides of the house.

Stay warm or keeping cool?
Cooling options include opening up the home to catch the breeze (especially the rooms that face the river), utilising the ceiling fans in most bedrooms, or turning on the air conditioning. Heating options include the air conditioning again, and a good sized wood fired stove located in the living room area.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Scribbles Cottage supplies all linen and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Scribbles Cottage has open air parking on the driveway for 2 cars, one behind the other. There is also off street parking on a grass verge.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Scribbles Cottage is not pet friendly. Please contact us for a list of pet friendly properties.
What are the minimum stay rules?
Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
Easter: 4 nights
Long Weekends: 3 nights
All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
