Welcome to Standing Bear Lodge!
This lovely cabin is two miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and within walking distance of the Pond Creek Trail, with gorgeous cascading waterfalls and catch-and-release fishing options in the clear mountain waters. Other attractions nearby are Coffey Lake, Buckeye Lake and Buckeye Recreation Center, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Emerald Outback at Beech Mountain. Beech Mountain Ski Resort offers snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, mountain biking, and outdoor concerts. Emerald Outback is open year-round for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.
Lake Coffey is great for fishing and has a scenic 1/8-mile trail that wraps around the lake. Buckeye Lake, a great spot for fishing, is beside the Buckeye Recreation Center, a 22,500 square-foot facility offering fitness rooms and indoor basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. Lake Coffey and Buckeye Lake are stocked with trout by the NC Wildlife Commission. A reservation at Standing Bear Lodge also offers access to the Beech Mountain Club for golf, tennis, bocci ball, and the fitness center. Please ask for details.
The great room has high vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, a wall of windows, comfy furnishings around the gas log fireplace, and a big screen TV. Kitchen and dining flow from the great room with ease to entertain your group with ease. The main floor deck offers outdoor dining and a gas grill. The lower level family room has a gas log fireplace, arcade game, and large flat-screen TV. A custom-built hot tub deck, connected to the main deck by a catwalk, offers a wonderfully private hot tub nestled in the trees for daytime fun or evening soaks.
This cabin accommodates 10 guests and has a main floor master king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The upper floor includes a bunk room with a twin-over-king bunk and a king bedroom with a twin sleeper sofa. They share the upper floor full bathroom. The lower level offers a second king bedroom with a full ensuite bathroom.
Additional amenities include central heat and air, a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, and TVs to log into your own streaming accounts.Two dogs are welcome with your reservation at Standing Bear Lodge. Additional pet fees will apply. As with all mountain cabins, 4WD and tire chains are strongly encouraged for guests during inclement weather. Two cameras at the cabin capture the front of the home.

Beech Mountain Club
Guests with a reservation at Standing Bear Lodge are eligible to apply for a membership transfer to the Beech Mountain Club (BMC) for the dates of the reservation.
BMC policies apply to a membership transfer. Please read the policy document carefully.
Upon booking, guests will receive an email with instructions, the BMC transfer policies, and the transfer application. The application must be submitted to the club by the guest at least 3 days prior to the transfer start date, which can be no sooner than your arrival date.
Please note BMC Policy 4a. : owners membership is limited to two transfers per month based on a first come first serve basis. It is recommended to submit your application as soon as possible. CCR is unable to inform inquiring guests if two transfers are already accepted in a calendar month. Guests will need to contact BMC for information.
A membership transfer fee starting at $300 is charged to the guest by BMC upon the start date of the membership transfer.
Memberships start at the social level. Guests may upgrade membership with additional fees paid to BMC (see the BMC website for what is included with each level).
Transfers are administered by BMC, which has no affiliation with Property Manager.
