This home is conveniently located in Blowing Rock on Appalachian Ski Mountain, a short half-mile drive or nine-minute walk to the family-friendly ski lodge, ski slopes, and ice skating rink. A five-minute drive will bring you to the heart of downtown Blowing Rock, where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, and activities. Tweetsie Railroad, High Gravity Adventures, downtown Boone, and the Appalachian State University campus are all within five miles.

Fire and Ice is a fabulous log cabin with plenty of space to spread out or come together with family and friends. The main level great room boasts soaring ceilings and wood floors, a wall of windows around the gas log fireplace, and a well-furnished wrap-around deck. The spacious kitchen has plenty of space for cooking for a full house and dining seating for twelve. The lower level den has a pool table and TV with a gas fireplace for ambiance, and the lower level deck has a gas fire table. The loft area above the great room includes even more game tables for entertainment for all ages.
The master bedroom on the main level has a king bed, deck access, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom. There is also a queen bedroom on the main level. Upstairs bedrooms include a king room with two twins for little ones and a queen room with in-room access to the shared upstairs bathroom. The loft has a full-size futon, adding additional sleeping space for two guests. The lower level queen bedroom is a comfortable, quiet room with access to a hallway bathroom.
ALL bedrooms have a TV with ROKU. They are enabled with Guest Mode, so guests can confidently use their app accounts and subscriptions and be automatically signed out with their data erased on their departure date. With ROKU, guests can also enjoy SPECTRUM CABLE (provided by the property) and free content, live TV, and music from The Roku Channel or try out any of the 10,000+ apps that Roku offers.
Additional amenities at Fire and Ice include a hot tub, a laundry room with an extra fridge, Wi-Fi, and cable. Two dogs are welcome with your reservation, and additional pet fees apply. The gravel drive is level with no step access right onto the covered front entrance for easy unloading and loading of adventure gear. AWD or 4WD are recommended for winter travelers.
