Welcome to Hillside Haven!
Hillside Haven is a four (4) bedroom, three (3) bathroom cabin located in the heart of the High Country and welcomes up to fourteen (14) guests. It has been designed in a minimalist Scandinavian style and has an open and airy feel. Hillside Haven is surrounded by trees, making it a peaceful and serene destination. This spacious, well-appointed home has a pool table, theater room, and large ski equipment/mudroom that is also a sunroom. Close to Appalachian Ski Mountain, Boone, and Blowing Rock, guests enjoy easy access to all the mountains have to offer.
The spacious open concept living area, equipped with unique furnishings and a gas log fireplace, provides a modern mountain feel. High picture windows flood the space with warm natural light, and the vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling has ample recessed lighting. The adjoining kitchen, well equipped with updated appliances, is a pleasurable culinary space. The dining area has ample seating for ten (10) with three (3) extra bar seats. Step out to the deck and find a gas grill, an outdoor dining table that seats ten (10) or more, two rocking chairs, and two outdoor sofas covered by the roof to keep the cushions dry, where you can enjoy seasonal views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wander downstairs to find plenty of space for entertainment. The main feature pool table is crowned by a large flat-screen TV, with a bar area including a table, sink, and mini-fridge. Relax in the den with the electric fireplace while watching a game, enjoying a friendly game of billiards, or playing your favorite records on the player next to the comfortable couch. Downstairs also boasts a theater room with seating for twelve (12), a giant screen, and a projector so you can unwind with a movie after a day of adventure in the High Country.
The primary king suite, located on the main floor, has a private ensuite bathroom that combines a fully tiled step-in shower and a separate soaking tub. Also on the main floor are two queen bedrooms with comfortable bedding and decor and a shared hall bath with a tiled step-in shower. The bonus room on the lower level sleeps six (6) with a queen bed and two (2) additional twin bunk beds. Additional sleeping for two (2) is available in the lower level den full-size pull-out sofa!
Hillside Haven has a washer and dryer, central heating and air conditioning, wifi, and three (3) Smart TVs in addition to the theater room, with a DVD and Blu-ray player. The lower level has a spacious ski equipment/mudroom for storing adventure gear with an entrance from the parking right outside!
This cabin is pet-friendly for up to two pets. The driveway is a paved downhill incline that opens to paved level parking for up to five (5) vehicles. 4-wheel drive and tire chains are always recommended for travel in the winter. This house is equipped with an electric vehicle charger.
