Welcome to Alpine Ridge
A charming log home built by Blue Ridge Log Cabins, Alpine Ridge accommodates 13 guests with warm and welcoming decor, quality furnishings, and comfortable options for relaxation and rejuvenation. As the name suggests, Alpine Ridge sits on a ridgeline with long-range, 180-degree views that include the slopes of Beech Mountain in the distance. It’s spacious and roomy enough for your entire party to spread out. The cabin offers open-concept living space on the main level with a cathedral ceiling, large windows, upscale decor, large decks, and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is south-facing, so you can enjoy sunrise coffee on the partially covered deck. Spend evenings grilling on the gas grill and sipping wine at sunset, but don’t forget to leave room for S’mores at the fire pit for dessert!
Young and old alike will appreciate the flat usable yard, a rare amenity in the High Country. Outdoor amenities include a fire pit and a picnic area. There are many board games and an Xbox Series X with wireless controllers (bring your own Xbox games). Available in the lower-level game room is an Olhausen Pro 8 pool table, another sitting area with a pull-out sleeper sofa, a high table and bar stools, and a large-screen TV. High-speed internet is available for streaming movies or "work at home" situations. All televisions have Roku devices, so live TV is available, and you can log in to your personal streaming services. The house has Bluetooth-enabled Sonos surround-sound speakers.
Alpine Ridge is conveniently located 15 minutes from the charming ski town of Banner Elk, with snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, and snow tubing all just a stone’s throw away. Banner Elk Winery is just down the road for wine tastings and live music. Boone is eighteen miles, and it is twenty-three miles to Blowing Rock. The village of Valle Crucis, with its riverfront park and the historic Mast General Store, is 10 miles away. While convenient to all the high country offers, Alpine Ridge sits on pastoral land with sweeping long-range views of the surrounding high mountain peaks. Alpine Ridge enjoys the best of both worlds: proximity to High Country attractions and seclusion and privacy. Experience mountain living at its best!
Walk into the main level of Alpine Ridge and find a stunning open-concept floor plan with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, hardwood floors, and a wall of glass presenting layered long-range mountain views. The master bedroom on the main level has a comfortable king-size bed, a large ensuite bathroom with an extra-large Whirlpool soaking tub, a double vanity, and a walk-in shower. A second bedroom suite, equipped with a king bed and a full bathroom, is also on the main floor. This bedroom enjoys the closest access to the nearby front porch for reading or relaxing on two comfortable Adirondack chairs. The large, well-equipped kitchen has ample counter space and storage, modern appliances, and two sinks. The kitchen opens to the dining area, which has access to the deck by sliding doors. The dining area seats eight at the table and three more at the kitchen island, so family dinners are no problem. The deck features a gas grill for barbecues, an additional teak outdoor dining table, plenty of rocking chairs, and two more Adirondack chairs for reading and lounging. The dining room opens to the great room with its tongue-and-groove vaulted wood ceiling and large wood-burning stone fireplace. A wall of windows faces south, showcasing gorgeous sunrises to the left and sunsets to your right. The laundry/utility room is also available for your convenience.
The loft area off the great room has another large bedroom with a king-size bed, a single twin-size bed, and a full ensuite bathroom. The hardwood floors and tongue-and-groove accent wall on the lower level make the finished space warm and inviting. There is another large bedroom with a king-size bed, two twin beds (all handcrafted "twig" style), and a new ensuite bathroom with a tiled shower and towel warmer. Including the pull-out queen sleeper sofa in the basement recreation room, which has a full bathroom with a combination tub/shower, the cabin has flexible sleeping arrangements for 13 guests. The basement bedroom and recreation room each have large sliding glass doors that open to the backyard for play. Alpine Ridge is dog-friendly, so even your furry family members can enjoy life in the high country. This exquisite lodge-style mountain home has everything your family and friends need to appreciate the perfect vacation in the North Carolina mountains.
