Welcome to Riverdale!
Riverdale is an elegant, comfortable, 4-bedroom mountain cottage on the South Fork of the New River, minutes from Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Downtown Boone is less than six (6) miles away, and Blowing Rock is about twelve (12) miles away. Valle Crucis is about fourteen (14) miles, and Banner Elk is about twenty-three (23) miles away. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad are both about ten (10) miles away. Hawksnest SnowTubing & ZipLines is about nineteen (19) miles away, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is about twenty-one (21) miles away. Beech Mountain Ski Resort and Grandfather Mountain are both about 28 miles away. There is much more conveniently nearby in the High Country!
The main level offers a king bedroom and a queen bedroom. They share a full hallway bathroom with a tub and shower. The kitchen is well-equipped and has custom cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless appliances. The dining table seats eight (8), and the kitchen bar top seats four (4). The living room offers comfortable furniture centered around a gas log fireplace and an HD Smart TV. Relax on the covered rear deck overlooking the South Fork of the New River and enjoy views of the river and the mountains. There is a comfy outdoor living area and an outdoor dining table on the main level rear deck. The front porch has Adirondack-style chairs and a stainless gas grill.
The downstairs den, furnished with comfortable leather recliners and a sleeper sofa, offers additional sleeping flexibility. There is an HD Smart TV above another gas log fireplace. Two more bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two (2) twin beds, are adjacent to the den. A second full bathroom with a tub and shower is centrally located in the hall, adjacent to the laundry room equipped with a utility sink, a washer, and a dryer. The lower level rear deck features a second outdoor table, and around the side is the Hot Tub, which features mountain views under the stars.
Walk down from the rear deck toward the river, and at the bottom of the first flight of stairs is an open-air platform deck with tall chairs. Another flight of stairs leads down to yet another platform deck, just above the water’s edge. The South Fork of the New River is just a few feet down from this lower deck.
There is a small side yard with an outdoor wood-burning fire pit. Riverdale offers level parking for four (4) vehicles, central heat and air conditioning, WiFi Internet, and Digital Programming on all 6 HDTVs. Some of the TVs are Smart TVs, and others have a WiFi BluRay/DVD Player.

Adding to the vibrancy of this mountain town is Appalachian State University. Visitors can experience collegiate energy by attending a football game at Kidd Brewer Stadium or enjoying a performance at one of the university's theaters.
