Inside you will find a tasteful mix of modern European design with mountain contemporary elegance. The kitchen boasts upgraded stainless appliances, a six-burner commercial-grade gas cooktop, concrete countertops, and custom soft-close cabinetry. The central island with a butcher block and stainless steel top offers extra bar stool seating for dining and casual gathering. The adjacent dining table comfortably accommodates up to ten (10) guests, allowing groups of up to thirteen (13) to dine together at Sugar Tree. The open-concept great room allows for family gatherings in the living area and pool table area, along with the kitchen and dining areas, all at the same time. Leather furniture, a wall-mounted, easy-start electric fireplace with multi-colored flames, and a mix of mid-century and contemporary designer pieces make this a unique and exciting place to entertain and relax.
Three bedrooms on the main level offer most of the sleeping options. The bunk bedroom sleeps up to three guests with a twin-over-twin bunk bed with a twin trundle bed that pulls out from beneath. A chalkboard accent wall is a fun place for children to leave memoirs of their fun on Sugar Mountain! Two more main-level bedrooms, each with a queen bed, provide accommodations for four more guests. One of these queen bedrooms features a wall-mounted HDTV. The newly refinished central bathroom is a treat, as it has a spa-like feel with a unique step-down shower that also doubles as a spacious soaking tub. A comfortable den on the main level boasts a large HDTV and a full-sized sleeper sofa to accommodate 1 or 2 more guests.
Walk up the custom open-tread staircase to the private master suite. Vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, huge oversized windows, a leather sofa and armchair, an HDTV, and a massive King bed complete the bedroom area. The ensuite bathroom has floating "his & her" sinks, a large pass-through shower with handheld and rainfall showerheads, and a deep Japanese soaking tub situated in the corner, all of which enjoy the sunlight pouring through the windows. This master suite has spa-like tones meant to complete your relaxing vacation.
Sugar Tree Getaway offers multiple decks. There is a rear, open-air deck with a stainless gas grill, picnic-style outdoor dining, a comfy sectional sofa with an ottoman, and a covered front porch with bench seating. There is also a screened-in patio on a quiet rear corner of the main level. The yard is unique for Sugar Mountain in that it is mostly level, totally usable, and safe for children. Enjoy the wood-burning fire pit in the backyard year-round, the seasonal, lush landscaping surrounding the cabin, and the mature trees that dot the property. The seasonal scenic views of the surrounding mountain tops are worth experiencing from atop Sugar Mountain.
Custom features include European-designed, energy-efficient windows throughout the house that tilt or open, allowing visitors to enjoy the fresh mountain air, rain or shine. The Japanese soaking tub in the master bathroom is perfect after a day of outdoor activities. The electric fireplace in the great room shows off multi-colored flames and puts out ample heat, ideal after a long day on the ski slopes. Sugar Tree Getaway has whole-house heating and air conditioning, WiFi internet, HDTVs with digital TV programming, and a washer and dryer in the laundry pantry.
Bring the whole family to enjoy the cabin and the amenities and benefits of Sugar Mountain Resort, whether golfing, skiing, tennis, biking, or sightseeing.
