Paws On The Beach

Welcome to “Paws on the Beach” in the lovely Farm District! This pet friendly, warm and inviting home is decorated with beautiful original artwork throughout for you to enjoy during your stay. If you’re hoping for a relaxing and comfortable beach getaway for you and your dog(s), but also prefer the quieter, slower paced ambiance of the Farm District, look no further! Come on in! Hang your jackets on one of the dog tail hooks in the colorful mudroom off the back porch and enjoy the brightly lit kitchen, dining, and living room on the main floor. The kitchen has extra amenities for the more gourmet cooks, including a fully stocked spice drawer and plenty of kitchen gadgets. There is also a grill outside for your use. The dining table extends to seat up to 10 comfortably, plus 3 can sit at the kitchen bar. In the living room, the flat screen TV is equipped with cable and a guest Netflix account. There is also a Wii console with games and a balance board, a DVD player and old school VHS player with a selection of great movies at your disposal. Or you can grab a book and sit on the front porch for the ultimate relaxing afternoon. The new Dania sofa pulls out into a queen memory foam mattress for an extra guest or two. On colder nights or to warm up after a cool walk on the beach, the gas fireplace heats up the room to a cozy temp quickly. In the closet you will find an array of games and puzzles for all ages, as well as bedding for the sleeper sofa, and extra fold out chairs if needed. Head upstairs to find the bedrooms, all freshly outfitted with new gel memory foam mattresses. First you’ll find a lovely blue bunk room with 4 twin beds. Each bunk has its own cozy reading light, and atop the dresser is a selection of children’s books. The guest room has a queen bed, large dresser and full closet. The primary room has a king bed with a wall mounted smart TV, dresser, closet, and ironing board. All the bedrooms have new clocks with USB ports for easy charging of your devices. For easy access, the closet in the middle of all the bedrooms has a full size washer and dryer, extra bedding, and lots of beach towels. There are two full bathrooms upstairs (guest and primary). Hardwood floors throughout and leather couches make for a comfortable and clean stay for you and your 4 legged companions. If you feel like a walk close to home, head out the front door and turn right (East) down the oyster shell path, past the fountain and into the woods. You will find a trail marked “Narnia,” where you can devise your own adventure as you trek through the forest. Looking West, you will notice we are just across the road from the lovely horse barn and pasture. Heading toward the beach you’ll pass the scenic orchard, berry patch, and Horseshoe park, where you can gather at the fire pit while the kids play on the lawn. The dog park, children’s park, and pickle ball courts are only a few steps further. Also don’t forget to make use of Property Manager’s indoor pool/hot tub about a 10 minute walk away, always a must for the kids. The walk to the beach through lovely neighborhoods takes about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your route (there are so many fun ways to get there!) and pace. You may find you enjoy taking your time as you walk around and explore. Be sure to find the gnome trail that starts behind the big Stump! Maybe stop and shop along the market street, grab a bite at one of the top notch restaurants, or just take in the beautiful budding beach town. On your way back from the beach, don’t forget to stop at the Salty Dog to give your dog a bath, or you can always rinse off outside the house with the outdoor shower. Paws on the Beach is the perfect place where you can take a break from your busy life to enjoy time with your friends and family, stop to smell the flowers!
