Once an artists’ colony, Fawnskin has evolved into a tranquil, scenic town outside of Big Bear. An unincorporated mountain resort town in San Bernardino County, Fawnskin is considered one of the most peaceful places to live amid Southern California’s many cozy mountain towns. Surrounded by the National Forest on the north shore of Big Bear Lake, this idyllic community has adapted a quiet residential lifestyle with numerous spacious lots boasting breathtaking views of the lake and mountains.
Over the years, Fawnskin has maintained its small, tight-knit community because it often gets overlooked by the much more well-known Big Bear. However, despite Fawnskin not being as large as its more famous neighbors, residents and tourists alike will find themselves close to charming lodgings, fun attractions, great restaurants, and plenty of natural splendors to explore.
