The Home
Amazing base for exploring London right by the River Thames and walking distance to both the West End and the City of London, this large one bedroom penthouse apartment sleeps four with the aid of a sofa bed in the reception room. The property is located on the top floor (walk up to the third floor with no lift) in a corner building above a traditional English pub in a striking corner building that dates back to 1676 when it was The Grecian Coffee House.
Once inside the property, you are within a very generous one bedroom apartment. The corner open plan reception room has a sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. The open plan kitchen features a washing machine so that you can do some laundry and travel light, a dishwasher because who wants to do the dishes by hand, toaster and kettle, fridge, stove/hob, oven and microwave. We know how important it is for people with special dietary requirements to prepare...

The Neighborhood
Devereux Court is tucked between various barristers chambers and public gardens, just a couple of minutes' walk from the River Thames and just behind Fleet Street, famous for being the home of the capital's newspaper industry. The imposing Royal Courts of Justice are around the corner and the nearest underground stations are Temple and Blackfriars although Covent Garden and the City are within easy walking distance. It's central yet leafy and very quiet in the evenings and weekends but so central to access so much on foot. Highlights include The Oxo Tower, Tate Modern, London Film Museum, London Transport Museum (better than it sounds!), Somerset House right next door for Christmas ice skating, Rules which is a British institution, Monmouth Coffee for without doubt the best coffee in London, Theatreland on your doorstep with over 40 venues and Forbidden Planet for cult sci fi and comic merchandise. The National Theatre's hub in the Southbank Centre is host to some of the best plays in the world.
Let’s try that again.
