Only 20 minute drive away from the city of Lucca and 15 mins to Montecatini Terme sits VILLA LORENA, a family villa rich of character that dates back to the 16th century and now completely decorated to transport you to the an era of vintage beauty and country shabby elegance.
Kids will enjoy the proximity to the village of Collodi with its Pinocchio’s Park and hometown of the writer that gave birth to the character. The villa is setted at the top of a hill with gorgeous views and a heated indoor pool with grand windows overlooking the valley. The house comes with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a private Spa with sauna and gym, a spacious fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, a grand private outdoor swimming pool with a magnific view, a panoramic terrace, an outdoor dining area among the trees with barbeque and a wood fired pizza oven.
Extensive manicured grounds with magnificent views over the woods and the small stone villages completes the list of highlihts of VILLA LORENA. No matter what your ideal vacation looks like, the medieval city of Lucca and its surroundings offer so many opportunities: if you like to keep up with your workout, the paths along vineyards and olive groves are a glorious backdrop to stroll, power-walk, jog or cycle to; for the beach lovers the coastal strip of Versilia, reachable within 30 minute drive, is the place to be; for the music aficionados many classical and rock/pop music festivals are held here throughout the year. That’s why Lucca is becoming one among the elite summer destinations in Tuscany.
Please kindly remark that the house is reachable through an unmade road, therefore it is not suitable for sport cars, cars with low suspensions or drivers who are unfamiliar with country roads.
VILLA LAYOUT:
Ground floor:
As soon as you enter the foyer you will feel the special atmosphere that permeates the villa. The neutral and earth-toned colors used in the family room, such as terracotta, typical of the Tuscan style, create an airy and fresh effect. Thick ancient walls, large fireplace as a focal point and a beautiful chandeliers and candles set the elegant tone of this comfortable room. The very generous formal dining room has seating for up to 12 people. Then comes attached a huge professional-grade kitchen boasts ample counter space for prepping meals, a gorgeous central stove and fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, toaster, American and Italian coffee makers and a wide selection of cooking utensils and further more there is an extra panoramic porch/veranda with another dining table and the pool. The rooms features lit china cabinets, antique and modern art on the walls, and tall French doors opening onto the garden with a breathtaking view over the rolling hills around: everything work together to create the ultimate formal dining experience. A game room, a Spa with Sauna and shower with relax corner, a gym opening onto the pool, a double bedroom and a bathroom complete this floor.
First Floor:
There are 4 bedrooms laied out as follows: 1 bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 king size bedroom, 1 bedroom with a French bed to sleep 1 guest, a grand suite with fireplace with double bed plus en suite bathroom and a panoramic terrace, 1 extra bathroom. To underline that the rooms on the first floor that do not have an ensuite bathroom all share a single bathroom
THE FITNESS ROOM/GYM is complete with a reclined bike by Technogym, TRX, FItball, Bosu, elastic dumbbells etc.. and it is possible to hire a personal trainer at home for activities like Pilates, Zumba, Footing, Stetching and any kind of exercise and activity.
