Oatley Cottage, Alpine, Southern Highlands - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
Oatley Cottage was originally built in 1910 in the Sydney suburb of Oatley. It was transported to Little Forrest in 2009 and lovingly restored. The cottage has a wonderful homely feel to it and is a wonderful retreat to come home to after a day exploring the Southern Highlands.
Where will I be?
Oatley Cottage is located within the Little Forest complex, a collection of 7 cottages spread across 40 acres of grounds. Your cottage will have its own private spaces, but please be aware that other guests may be around as well. Communal spaces include the lawns, gardens, driveway and trails, but you will have plenty of privacy as well. The Little Forest complex has a bush setting and is circled on one side by the Sydney - Melbourne railway line. As a result, trains are audible at times, and for any kids, part of the fun! Little Forest also has various throughout its 42 acres, but please keep children supervised at all times due to wildlife, unfenced dams and trains.
Why choose Oatley Cottage?
Oatley Cottage is a charming and comfortable base from which to explore the Southern Highlands. Period details such as the beautiful original floorboards and wall cladding have been maintained and matched with modern amenities like the large country kitchen and wrap around verandah to create a wonderful comfortable home.

Oatley Cottage is reached down a tree-lined country drive way. You approach the house through beautiful gardens and enter into a charming country kitchen and dining area. The bathroom and laundry lead off from this open plan area. The verandah runs the length of the back and one side of the house. There is a barbeque and plenty of outdoor seating out there to enjoy in the warmer months.
