Things To Know
Payment & Cancellation - 60 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.
House rules
- Quiet Time- is from 10pm to 9am every day, no exceptions. In case of an emergency call 911.
- Pool-There is no lifeguard; attend to and care for your children. Refrain from using glass bottles/cups in or around the pool. Plastic cups are provided to avoid broken glass in the pool.
- Occupancy- The maximum number of occupants is 10.
- Smoking inside the home is prohibited.
- Parking- you may park in the driveway. Please do not park in the street or you may receive a ticket.
- Dirt & Sand- The Hawaiian red dirt stains carpets and upholstery. Please remove shoes at the front door and avoid tracking in dirt and beach sand. Sunscreen also stains upholstery and bedding so please take precautions to avoid staining.
- Trash enclosures are located next to the outdoor shower. Please tightly seal trash bags and ensure that the enclosure doors are closed. No corrugated cardboard or renovation materials, furniture, in the trash containers.
- Recycle- Kauai landfill space is limited. Recycle facilities are located at Brennecke's Restaurant parking lot across from Poipu Beach Park. By law, cardboard cannot be disposed of in our trash bins and must be removed to Brennecke's or other recycling depot.
- Septic- We are on a septic system. Please limit what you put into drains, garbage disposers and toilets; biodegradable items only. No chemicals, grease, seeds, bones, etc.
- Birds & Cats- Please do not feed or encourage cats or other stray animals, including feeding birds on the lanai. They will continue to return after your visit and they leave a mess.
- Fire Extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink. Please inform the property manager if used.
- RED SOIL:
- If you are not familiar with Kauai soil or “Red Dirt”, it does stain clothes and carpets - forever - and is almost impossible to remove once tracked in. Please make sure that before you enter the home your shoes are removed and any red dirt on your feet are cleaned. Removing shoes upon entering a home is a custom in Hawaii.
