Topgallant is enviably located on the tip of downtown Wiscasset, a picturesque village on the banks of the Sheepscot River. Within blocks, you can stroll to shops and art galleries on Main Street as well as local institutions like Red’s Eats for lobster rolls. And with Route 1 running through town, it’s the perfect home base for exploring, with Boothbay Harbor (12 miles), Bath (12 miles), Reid State Park (23 miles), and Popham Beach State Park (25 miles) within a short, scenic drive.
As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by beautiful elements of design, from wide-plank wood floors to walls of windows that flood the rooms with sunlight. A highlight is the chef’s kitchen, complete with a Viking gas range and other stainless steel appliances. Whether you’re preparing a homemade meal, sitting down to one at the live-edge dining room table, or gathered around the gas fireplace in the living room, you’ll never lose sight of the beautiful view.
Begin each morning with coffee and breakfast on the back deck, and linger into the afternoon to barbecue your lunch on the gas grill. In the evenings, you’ll find a wonderful spot to snuggle up, stream movies, and play board games in the den. When it’s time to turn in, both bedrooms are upstairs - each with its own private bathroom and a lovely view of the water. One features a small step-out balcony; the other, a fantastic desk workspace by the window.
