Offering warm and comfortable living spaces that are open and spacious. The historic town of Mars Hill is just 15 minutes away, where there are shops, art galleries, restaurants and more! 20 minutes from the quaint town of Marshall, where the arts are flourishing, and a 40-minute drive to explore all of the arts, breweries and restaurants that Asheville has to offer! As you walk in, you are greeted with a 2-story living room and a wall of windows overlooking the mountains! The floor to ceiling stone fireplace with Virginia River rock is the next detail that catches your eye. Poplar flooring throughout, with comfortable seating in the living space as well as a custom designed kitchen, equipped to make all your favorite meals. With 3 guest rooms to choose from plus 2 more sleeping spaces, you’ll have several comfortable spaces for your large group to rest. The sunroom/game room with ping pong, air hockey, pool, an arcade machine, game table and a Smart TV is located on the main level. You’ll have plenty of space outside as well, including a huge front deck to soak up the views, a stone patio area with a fire pit overlooking the mountains and the coolest custom-built 16’x16’ tree house. After a day of exploring, take a relaxing soak in the hot tub! With over 30 acres to explore, you’ll find hiking opportunities all the way up to the 7-mile Ridge & SO MUCH MORE! Centrally located to all WNC outdoor activities, Overlook Mountain Retreat is the perfect location for your mountain getaway! You are close to Mount Mitchell, the town of Hot Springs "where you can soak in the natural springs", or head over to Wolf Ridge for some snow skiing! Pets:This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $125 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party. Last Minute Bookings: Reservations made within 7 days of check-in require additional verification, including selfie/photo of government-issued ID matching the reservation name, and photo of payment method in the primary guest’s name. Failure to complete verification may result in cancellation.
