About the Rooms: The Amlyn is a 6-bedroom homestay that is perched on a hilltop in Vashisht, Manali. It is located 15 minutes (3 km) from Manali Mall Road and 10 mins (2 km) from the Vashisht Temple and Geothermal Hot Springs. The USP of this homestay is the ground floor balcony that flaunts the best view in Manali. You get a 180° unobstructed view with the Beas river flowing below and the majestic Himalayas out front. Watch helicopters land and take off, and zoom through the valley in front of you! The ground floor also has a living area, a bedroom and a bathroom (not ensuite). A flight of stairs (15 steps) leads to the first floor which has a spacious living room, a balcony that offers mountain and valley views, 2 rooms and a bathroom (not ensuite). One of the rooms has an additional private balcony. Both bathrooms have bathtubs. There are two suites that has its private entrance below (12 steps) the homestay’s main entrance. The suites have an English-styled indoor seating area which opens up to mountain views, along with an outdoor seating area that offers the same view. Both bedrooms reflect the same decor style and have ensuite bathrooms. Lastly, there’s another suite with a private entrance; to the left of the homestay’s entrance. It has its own small living area with sofa-cum-bed and TV on the ground level. The airy windows here allow ample light to flood the living room. Wooden stairs (10 steps) lead up to the spacious attic/mezzanine which has the master bed and an ensuite bathroom. What can you do here: Enjoy delicious oriental and mughlai cuisines prepared by the in-house cook. For your evening tea time, head to the gazebo in the lush-green lawn. Guests can opt for room service in the suite or an outdoor dinner arrangement. Connect with your caretaker to arrange the same. Spend your evenings playing a game of badminton or enjoy a jog on the walking track. If you are up for some adventure, head out for a hike up the Jogni falls, book a helicopter ride for a one-of-a-kind experience or indulge in skiing, paragliding and cable cart rides at Solang Valley, just 30 minutes away.
