The Area
This property is located in Montreux Switzerland (Swiss Riviera) on the most iconic avenue of the city The Claud Nobs avenue from the famous organiser of the world known event Montreux Jazz Festival.
My home is a quiet residential area less than 1 minute walk from the lake and 3 minutes walk or 1 bus stop away from the train station. The residence is very popular for wealthy holiday-home owners which favour the peace and discretion of their retreats to the bustle of the hotels of the city.
Everything is very centric since it offers coffee shops, grocery shops, restaurants, touristic attractions and transportation just meters away.
If you walk past the residence you will reach the famous Stravinski Convention Center 2M2C, the natural gardens of the Swiss Riviera by the shores of the Geneva Lake and its breath taking views of the Swiss Alps. At the Forum area you can find the main shopping area and the famous statue of Freddy Mercury. The centre is absolutely bursting with restaurants, cafes, artisan shops, gelaterie (ice cream parlours at la Rouvenaz), and everything else you might need, all within walking distance from the residence.
Although many of the traditional shops have been replaced by luxury brands that cater to the wealthy visitors, in the smaller streets of old town you can still find original greengrocers, fishmongers, artisan bakers (don’t forget to visit le Museum restaurant for the perfect Suisse fondue), and gourmet food shops. On the other hand, on the main avenue du Casino, you will find the flagship stores of the most famous luxury brands, such as Rolex, Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, just to name a few.
The Place du Marché is the beating heart of the city. Its attractions are world famous and their market food selection with its coffee shops even more rightly so. There is where everyone meets on their way back from the beach or after dark to catch up with friends in local bars, make plans for the evening and watch the best half of the world walk by with impeccable style.
From the place du marché the town unwinds in various directions towards a wide choice of restaurants specialising in seaside delicacies and traditional local cuisine, including famous selection of menus, the unique ‘Palais Orientale’ for Iranian Lebanese food or La Rouvenaz for the best Italian food and pizzas with tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil, and seafood ‘scialatielli’ (a type of fresh pasta sometimes flavoured with squid ink).
There are many choices for the night life, including traditional live-music during the Jazz Festival and modern clubs such as ‘Millesime’, “Black Pearl”, ‘Taboo’, ‘Funky Claud Nobs’, and more, all practicing a fierce selection and requiring a smart attire.During your stay you absolutely mustn’t miss a trip to the Vevey (the food museum), a trip to the castle of Chillon (Most visited attractions Switzerland) , Caux castle which is a world renown Hospitality Management school, the vapour park for children is must, which is a seaside spot on the western side of the island, the hotel les trois couronnes has the best terrace where you can enjoy the longest-lasting sunset in Montreux.
Me and my team are always happy to assist – but it can take time to follow your not urgent request (like 1 more blanquet).
Communicate your arrival and departure times, and any changes. We want to be sure we are here and ready to greet you! Please don’t arrive early without prior notice.

About the area
Montreux, nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, is a picturesque destination that offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and a touch of luxury. This idyllic lakeside town is renowned for its mild microclimate and the lush vineyards that stretch along the lake, contributing to the region's reputation for fine wines.
One of Montreux's most iconic landmarks is the Château de Chillon, a medieval castle that sits on a small island in the lake. The castle's history dates back to the 12th century, and its rooms, ramparts, and dungeons provide a fascinating glimpse into the past. The castle also inspired Lord Byron's famous poem "The Prisoner of Chillon," and visitors can see the pillar to which the prisoner was allegedly chained.
The Montreux Jazz Festival, held annually in July, is one of the world's most prestigious music events, attracting artists and music lovers from around the globe. The festival's stages have been graced by legendary performers, and the town buzzes with a vibrant atmosphere during this period.
For those who appreciate natural splendor, the promenade along Lake Geneva is a highlight. Lined with flowers, sculptures, and Mediterranean trees, it offers stunning views of the surrounding Alps and is perfect for leisurely strolls or bike rides. The Rochers-de-Naye, accessible by a cogwheel train, provides panoramic views of the lake and the Alps, and is home to marmots and an alpine garden.
Montreux is also a gateway to the Swiss Riviera and the Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The terraced vineyards offer not only exquisite wines but also breathtaking views that are best enjoyed on a leisurely hike or a train ride on the Lavaux Panoramic.
For a touch of opulence, visitors can stay at the luxurious Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, which has hosted numerous celebrities and offers impeccable service and elegance. The town's casino adds a bit of glamour and excitement, with its gaming facilities and entertainment options.
Montreux's culinary scene is as diverse as it is exquisite, with lakeside restaurants serving fresh local cuisine, international dishes, and, of course, Swiss specialties like fondue and raclette.
In essence, Montreux is a destination that offers a serene escape with its enchanting landscape, cultural festivities, and the charm of Swiss hospitality. It's a place where travelers can indulge in the finer things in life while surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of nature.
